in regards to the guild.. if we want it to retain members and go anywhere within the game, we need to start thinking about logistics, website/calander, social events, and other incentives to keep the people hitting 50 from leaving and incentives to keep the people who are casual from leaving. its all fine and dandy to mass invite people but what about attempts to keep them around and make something of the IBIS SWTOR guild?

I will volunteer for an official website if we cant have a separate section here. It can be a place where we organize events, raids, pvp and other fun in game things for the guildies to participate in.

any other suggestions to push forward now that release is behind us?

the issue is we have no actual active die hard officers... unless I'm going 2 devote my life 2 making a MMORPG guild (which I'm not) it's not gonna happen. I honestly don't care if people stay or leave as I have no intentions of spending every tues/weds/thurs being on at a certain time for raiding or whatever. I'm playing casually, and from what ive seen so are you, and every other community member that has gone there. if you guys want a die hard true guild, yall need 2 actually help me, not just play and expect me 2 make some massive awesome guild. people must pull their own weight for this 2 happen.

don't get me wrong... I'm all for the guild going places... but I just simply can't do it alone and ive yet 2 see any 1 show a single bit of interest in improving the guild. if people wana start helping, sure, lets get it going.

pvp would be the easiest route.

There's no point in preparing any guild for progression raiding in this game. BW themselves stated that they will not be concentrated on Dungeon/raiding content in the endgame and will most likely focus on the story-driven content like the rest of the game. As the Operations are now there are a TON of bugs, from bosses resetting to chests not opening after a single wipe.

Where PvP is concerned, it seems Open World PvP is highly discouraged and the upcoming patch BW is planning isn't going to solve much. Currently Ilum is a mini-game, where Republic/Empire are just trading bases for the daily quest. LAWL!

They'll get the PvP right eventually.

All the game is right now is an RPG with multiplayer qualitys. Reach max level, finish story, and your on to the next game. Bw needs to start implementing things to give incentive for subscribers to stick around for more then a few months if they wish to be succesful. Kinda like our guild. I am more then willing to step up and take some of those burdens maynard, I by no means wish to progress into a hard core guild either. My intentions are to start providing incentives to encourage guildies to be more active, stick around and have fun, in game and socialy via vent.

Its hard to come up with ideas when we have so little to work with in game. Guild banks could make a world of difference. I think the first step should be trying to get everyone actively involved in this community or guild community. Start by changing the message of the day to the link to your closed sticky thread and add info like who the leader is, officers, vent info and things of that nature. An informed guildie is a happy guildie.
Even start a new thread for Guild rules and a thread for "Introductions/class/spec/crew skills/what i can make for you!/level ect." With that, incentives kinda create them selves, for example. I need a specific mod and dont feel like paying out the ass for it. I can hit up a guildie who i know because of there active involvement in the community and ask them to make it for me.

yeah I really don't get wtf they were thinking. we really do have jack shit 2 work with lol... granted all MMORPG's are a bit of a nightmare at first... this 1 really is.. they should have had so much shit implemented and things fixed before it was released... like fuck... people can't even read the full guild description because they didn't add a fucking scroll down bar. in the guild description it links 2 our website, gives the vent info, explains who and what we are, but no 1 can fucking see it lawl..
