I was playing while on the phone, so I muted the sound. I wasn't camping or doing anything cheap.

If a warning for anything was given, I probably didn't hear it since the sound was off.

As for the knifing thing, she was behind a box and I got the drop on her (after hearing gunshots in that direction)
