To be honest the boot doesn't really matter. The sole is what mattetrs the most. If you are going to spend hours on your feet standing around something like a Vibram sole , or "Gator Teeth" ( not sure of the real name but it looks like a row of pointy teeh that angle towards the heal) The upper of the boot is what you think works best. Unless in Loka's case where her small feet make it an odd situation. The sole beingh the part that strikes the ground millions of times is what you need to pay attention to.

One last thing. If these are going to be used for hiking/work?....the first night you get them, put them on your feet and soak them with water. Wear them for a few hours, then allow them to dry. This may cause blisters but they will be small. By allowing the leather to adjust to your foot it should stop severe blistering at a later point. I have learned this over the past decade to work the best. Understand if you are not going to hike or be extremely active in the boot it is not needed.

In all honesty, I don't really get them for anything specific. I just want them. LOL.

yeah if your just looking to have a pair, just get the cheapies. their really not bad, i just have problems with them. 2 1/2 was my shoe size. yup go laugh.
