Thread: Should I Be Worried?

    Default Should I Be Worried?

Yesterday I took a big fall on my wakeboard while on the lake, and i woke up a minute later after headbutting my board. Then I stumbled inside and fell asleep on my massive couch. I woke up and my Gf was asleep on my bed and the clock
Said 12 pm. Then it hit me, I had chronic arthritis pain in my hands, a massive headache, and loss of balance. Ive also had Mild dihareeah throughout the day. Its 7:03 now, and everything you just read is all I remember from yesterday to
    today.

probably just a major concussion. go get it checked out anyways, there could be some swelling or bleeding that is effecting this.

if it ever happens again, never go to sleep after you've had a concussion, there's a chance you could go into a coma.

Yea, luckily you survived going to sleep never do that after having any sort of head injury. You should get it checked out as any possibly swelling could also cause blood clots to be thrown. For major stuff like that it is always a good idea to have it checked out to be safe

    Good Luck

Sounds like you lost electrolytes, primarily salt, which is why you might be feeling something like arthritis. The massive headache and loss of balance can both be due to dehydration/head exhaustion. If you've been sweating a lot and it's been hot and what not, my suggestion to you is to drink some vitamin water and take in water slowly.

Otherwise, I sincerely suggest what Zero said. Get checked out.

That's just my assessment from an EMT's standpoint though. In other words, don't take my word for it, go see a doc.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

Having a little sport medicine knowledge I would have to aree with everyone. My guess is you can't remember your head actually hitting the board but someone told you. You also probally had/have a massive headache and more than likely your upset stomache is really a feeling like you have to puke. Go to a doc and get it checked out tonight.

Shit so that is why my hand was killing me the other day. I had drank a lot the night before but was sure to drink a half gallon or so of water so I was fine the next morning but my hand was killing me. Well now I know to stock up on a bit of vitamin water with electrodes next time.
