Thread: IDEAS people

Another idea would be to use teleporters. If you closed off the spawn of the map after x seconds and then opened some doors that allowed zombies to instantly to to a particular part of a map. This way you could also force zombies to come in "packs" in or from specific parts of a map at almost an exact time. For example the players start crossing a grave yard and it at that time zombies start coming from a few different directions but the place where humans are at the time makes it so they should just hold them off before they get to the next area and seal off these zombies. Then the remaining zombies can go to the next attack point in the same way.

A good way to describe this I guess would be like co-op half life 2 with better zombies that are controlled by humans and not AI. The humans are the ones "technically" playing and the zombies are treated more as an element of the game with them being simply transferred from one area to another as if they were zombies from that place to begin with.

Such an element would allow humans to fight "though" a map of zombies and not just run from them and fire like 400 shots in the last 10 feet.

Take a good look at all of the fun cading spots you guys use and create a map based on all the best of them. People love to go to the small rooms in the roy_the_ship map and start cading them with sofas, cabinets and other large objects. From these rooms you can sometimes view the zombies running around trying to get guys just adjacent to you, this view that you get is neat. Maps that allow great visibility which expose zombie activity all the while minimizing the play bias for humans over zombies are great map design features.
