  1. Default Drum & Bass production Feedback

    Sup bizzles...

So for anyone that didn't know, I spin Drum & Bass, along with house. I HAD 2 Nightclubs and currently and working on a third club for NH at the moment.

I also mix live on www.dnbradio.com weekly...

Right now I'm involved in a fairly big contest for producers and need to get a track finished TONIGHT...

This is what I have so far.. It's a Liquid Funk track.. and if you have any thoughts give me a shout! I'll be up til midnight pissing myself trying to finish it so any feedback would rock.

So are you asking for someone to be a critic or to tell you its perfect?

Ok, I assume the track acctualy starts around the 10 second mark and all prior is your lead in. that being said I am not a huge fan on the 2nd and 3rd loops being very near the same. I love the intro build up and drop to the piano, but at the same time it almost kills the song. Lovee the song from there on out, but it would appeal to kids eating smacky pills and K hole kids. It is slow and is hard to get into. In all pretty good, great blending with the exception of the one at 33 seconds. I would really like to see more out of the 33-55 second loop and I think it would sure up the track alot.

Personally I do not like commenting on development music unless I can get a lossless RAW to ensure that I am hearing exactly what is intended.

I think the doubled intro needs to be cut in half. The 33sec mark should be the end of that section. Then a new 33sec section needs to be added to the end to bring more conclusion to the work. I do not feel that this work has any end, the music just stops playing. I hear an intro and a development but no conclusion.

So please try to create a great conclusion to this work so we can give it another listen. (Also link us a raw).

On another note I just want to point out for reference that this quote is invalid: "it almost kills the song. Lovee the song". The word song can not be used as this is not a song, a song being a piece of homophonic music containing vocals with accompaniment. Also you could remember it the easy way of it is not a song if there is no singing although this can be misleading as it is possible to have a piece of music that contains vocals ie singing but is not a song in that it may be for example monophonic or polyphonic thus not meeting the definition of a song.

Here's the cut I needed for the release, added my vocalist in for up to this point.
