Think of it logically, the palms will take up the same dimensions, and they won't look horribly out of place like the 'shrooms would. Also dev textures would look pretty awful on them.

No, but the layout is exactly the same. The textures are already getting changed, I still fail to see a problem here.

I don't think the palm tree idea is that bad. That map already has palms as it is. Plus it will be easier to kill "mushroom campers" through the palm leaves.

Yea it changes gameplay quite a bit. You got to keep the shrooms in, though you can retexture them if you want.
