How did he/she abuse (See TOS): Disrespecting Fellow Admin & Disrespect for Other Players

Here are the two demos. They are SourceTV Demos, I just renamed them. Attachment 4047 Attachment 4048

Start the first demo at tic 50,000, and play the 2nd demo from the beginning

I was AFK for a few rounds while I was on the phone, and when I came back Christmas was spamming over the mic with repeating sounds as can be heard on the demo. Cro-Mags asked him to stop via text, and I also asked him twice via admin chat to stop spamming the mic as well, to which he replied at tick 64000 "Disflux, Disflux, 'I'll End You'" (which was the phrase being spammed earlier). So I issued him a 5 minute mute. After that, one of the players made 5 comments along the lines of "You're all niggers!", to which I warned the person to not make further remarks otherwise they would be kicked/banned for racist remarks towards other players. After that Mikey got upset and started commenting that the "old person was here" and how everybody under the age of 18 had to leave because I was there to ruin all the fun.

That's where the 2nd demo starts. Mikey was unaware of Christmas's mute until Christmas brought it up in chat, to which Mikey started saying that "You're fucking Christmas! Make an admin abuse thread". I then said in admin speak that I had muted Christmas for 5 minutes to mic spamming after I gave him 2 warnings, and that's when Mikey blew up and you can hear it all on the 2nd demo shortly in.

In my opinion, it showed complete and utter disrespect for another admin, especially doing so over mic in a public setting.

Oh, and this is the 2nd time this has happened in the past 4 days. Last time I came onto the server and Mikey was on, same thing happened. Christmas was spamming over the mic, other plays and I asked him to stop, and Mikey told me to calm the fuck down.

tbh, i see alot of me talking which i do alot regardless. i see alot of me not wearing a tag which would have given you ample time to mute myself and anyone you saw as a potential problem. I then saw myself put my tag on after all that "N" word fiasco and X-mas "spamming like usual" and all of the "rasicisim stop and a majority of the mic spam stop. this is what i saw in the first demo.

as for the second demo i see alot of me talking, which granted i guess might be a problem... i talk alot. If me talking alot bothered you or you had any other personal disturbance regarding me and your self, just PM me. I will fully adhere to what you have to say.

At the end of the day id like to say no admin abuse because i never used any admin powers in any negitive or abusive way. Though im actually glad you brought to my attention how i actually sound after reveiwing those demos, i sound like a loser =/

majority of the time im under the name Mufasa or another disney name (a WCS thing that started that the night this happened, having a disney name)
no ibis.a tag in the name, look for the guy talking alot with a disney name

If you didn't notice with the new admin command system in place. You can't even select other admins with any form of admin power other than yourself. With the new admin system in place, even if you are NOT wearing your tag in one of the ibis servers, you still need to hold yourself at a higher standard than a normal player does. This is because you are UNABLE to receive any disciplinary action from anybody with the current exception of clan members. If you don't hold yourself at a higher standard than normal players and choose to disrespect other players or admins, you are inherently abusing your admin privileges, in particular, the privilege to avoid admin commands being used on you. Thus, you DID abuse your power without even having to use a single admin command. Even after you put your tag on, you still have to respect other admins on the server along with the players on the server as well.

You only put your tag on after I had already issued a warning to the player in particular about using racist terms. You did not further add to the warning, but instead started making remarks about me being on the server. Thus, you did not put your admin tag on in order to issue a warning, but rather you put your admin tag on in order to show a level of significance.

You did NOT fully adhere to what I had to say otherwise you wouldn't have started commenting, twice, on how Christmas should open up an admin abuse thread against me for giving him a 5 minute mute for mic spamming. Further, you followed up on that by telling me that I needed to learn the fucking rules, and actually asked me to go to the forums to find the specific rule that goes against mic spamming and post it in chat. This was utter disrespect to me and any other players that were annoyed by Christmas's mic spamming and your instigation of it.

You should know that being an admin for Ibis means keeping the servers clean and fun for EVERYONE, not just for your select friends or people that adhere to you. Being an admin DOES NOT mean utilizing your admin abilities as a safety net for any rules that you break. If you want to play drunk and be an asshole to admins and players alike, I implore you to play on a non-ibis server. I just please ask that while you're on those other servers that you DO NOT have the ibis.a tag following your name because it would be an embarrassment to the community if you were an asshole to people there as well.

I just wanted to quick add that the demos do not show admin @ speak or admin only chat (unless somebody knows of a way to allow this to be seen?) and that the demo as well does not issue the mute on Christmas, but that there is a mute that was put in place after he disrespected me.

So if nobody knows of a way to make these things appear in the demo, Zero may have to pull my admin logs. Mikey did not say anything over admin speak or admin only chat that I remember, but every warning I made/comment back to Mikey was made using one of those two methods which aren't able to be seen in the demo.

i know mikey, i know christmas. kinda. i've seen him around. anyway both of those guys know they mic spam, especially mikey when he's drunk. <3 mikey. but if there are complaints from multiple people they'll stop. if not, mute em and move on. if they "disrespected" you, i didn't sense a whiff of that, they were just messing around with everybody, yourself included disflux. there may be some stuff i missed, especially in admin chat, but in my personal opinion, disflux you just need to not take crap from em. and by that i mean don't make yourself look like a little kid posting on here, just dish it back out to em. the atmosphere of the ibis servers has always been fun. rarely quiet, and that's the reason why many people (myself included) return to the server. it's fun, not serious, and should be allowed to exist as such. just thought i'd put my 4 cents in since i was present and have been around the community for a while.

I ONLY do something about it if it's bothering players on the server. For instance, about a month back Mikey did a drinking game in the server and during the game they also played music over the mic etc. etc. I didn't say anything and I didn't care because everybody in the server was ok with it. But when people start to complain about things do I do something.

But mic spam isn't the problem here. It was just the catalyst that lead to the problem. I dealt with Christmas, 5 minute mute. The problem here was the complete lack of respect Mikey showed towards me, a fellow admin, and the complete belittling he had by telling Christmas to write up an abuse thread about me.

While I don't want to discredit you as an admin or person, nor do I have anything against you, you have lied. You did this WITHOUT other players complaining except yourself not but 2-3 nights ago.
