Strange Gun Glitch

Umm I should have snapped a pic but occasionally when i respawn and I re-buy weapons I get this weird left gun glitch which turns my crosshair white and it makes my primary gun incapable of being used. Once I swap weapons it disappears from my inventory. Any idea to what could be causing this. Its happened to me multiple times already so its not race-dependent.

Valve glitch introduced a few months ago. There is no known cause. But we do know that the chance of the server crashing is increased when this glitch occurs.
