HAHA!, yep, know exactly what your talking about.
Medical and Education (go figure) services have expanded almost ten-fold in the last 10 years. Higher and more lucrative business firms, mostly law related, along with all the medical staffing downtown tends to drawn in more traffic from all surrounding county's. Traffic has at least tripled in the Baltimore area's since I remember it.
Diversity is more jampacked in DC, just not all that much more than I have seen living in and around Baltimore. Just have to walk a bit more.
Working in DC and living out = decent extra money.
Working in and living in DC = broke. You get the jist of what I'm saying.
I have yet to see another place where a fucking coffee boy makes 19$ an hour, gets full medical, and is paid double time on mandatory Saturdays, but must work them. WTF. This is in a law firm of coarse. The shit I hear and do and see is un-fucking-believable.
Edit: I can easily navigate DC. So easy, much more so than Baltimore, which I have lived most my life.
Driving in DC is a hell of a lot worse than Baltimore as far as collision concern goes. True though.. at night it seems like all the fucking idiots come out in Bmore, in DC it's just like a damn ghost town.

You know what I'm talkin' bout.
