At least you can navigate DC better then fucking Boston. Fuck Bostons roads, really.
I've never been to Boston, though I'd love to.
DC is pretty easy to navigate aside from the traffic. I love the number/letter combos. So easy to find your way around.
Driving in DC is like, well, not driving. You're just parked.
Driving in Baltimore is like being in a drunken demolition derby. OMG trying to navigate Lombard on Thursday night, you better wear a helmet and make sure you have health insurance.
I have yet to find a restaurant in DC anywhere near as COOL as the Paper Moon up near Hopkins though.
HAHA!, yep, know exactly what your talking about.
Medical and Education (go figure) services have expanded almost ten-fold in the last 10 years. Higher and more lucrative business firms, mostly law related, along with all the medical staffing downtown tends to drawn in more traffic from all surrounding county's. Traffic has at least tripled in the Baltimore area's since I remember it.
Diversity is more jampacked in DC, just not all that much more than I have seen living in and around Baltimore. Just have to walk a bit more.
Working in DC and living out = decent extra money.
Working in and living in DC = broke. You get the jist of what I'm saying.
I have yet to see another place where a fucking coffee boy makes 19$ an hour, gets full medical, and is paid double time on mandatory Saturdays, but must work them. WTF. This is in a law firm of coarse. The shit I hear and do and see is un-fucking-believable.
Edit: I can easily navigate DC. So easy, much more so than Baltimore, which I have lived most my life.
Driving in DC is a hell of a lot worse than Baltimore as far as collision concern goes. True though.. at night it seems like all the fucking idiots come out in Bmore, in DC it's just like a damn ghost town.
Make all your last demands for I will forsake you and I'll meet your eyes for the very first time, for the very last.
maynard <ibis>: they are awkward and last 2 damn long. I prefer thinner smaller ones
DC is a ghost town at night... unless a Caps game got out :P Although most nights if you're looking for a crowd, you'll usually find it in Adams morgan.
I don't know what's more annoying. The artsy hipster uptight assholes on in MT VERNON in Baltimore that won't talk to you unless you're doing something "avant garde" with your facial hair. You should see the looks I got at a party there once when they were grilling veggies and I wanted to put this sausage on there. You'd think I just shot a baby in the face.
Or the bratty (here comes the racism) persian kids that run around Adams morgan in DC s with the word "ARMANI" in THE BIGGEST FUCKING FONT POSSIBLE on their hats, glasses, shirts, pants, shoes, watches, etc listening to the WORST FUCKING EUROTRANCE MUSIC BLASTING out the BMW's their daddies bought them.
Two different but equal uptight kinds. If you live in the area, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
BALTIMORE:
Caption: OMG? You don't know about this band that just formed 5 minutes ago inside a dumpster off North Avenue that calls themselves "The Natty Boh Sandwich Rapist"? And you don't have a tatoo of John Waters on your Penis? OMG You're so not worth talking to. You're scum. Go convert your car to run on recycled pit bull urine and then maybe we'll let you hang across the street from our dive bar.
...
DC
Caption: OMG You didn't max out all your credit cards to buy a bottle of CRISTAL in the VIP room during the TIESTO concert after you got out of class at Georgetown, a school that you shouldn't have gotten into because you have a GPA of negative 8.2 but you're there because daddy owns an oilfield? OMG You're so not worth talking to. Go get some testicular implants and then maybe I'll let you look in my general direction.

I'd rather have box seats to a Caps game. Man, so sit there in a luxury box, sipping on some whiskey while watching the game, far away from the sweaty masses. I'd love to do that just once. Apparently you can get one of those boxes for a game for $2500. It sounds expensive, but it seats 20 people. So if you can get 20 people together, it's only 125 bucks a person. Seeing as how even the nosebleeds for a caps game are like 70 bucks now, that's not bad.
