    luckily I managed to get 2tb drives at 89$ a pop earlier this week for the emergency backups. They now cost close to $300.

    :O 6 drives in raid six, your being fancier then my drobo FS
    I only have 5 5400rpm 2tb drives in raid 6. To bad I dont have much access to it in my dorm

    Yea I do I had to order another ssd. You think I am going to wait until December to have a working computer again!? Also I now know that I can not trust that even the rma replacement will work correctly so I can not use it for an os disk. I have purchased a M4 which will be here by mid next week. To bad the price on it jumped $50 right before I bought it... however it is still a world cheaper than a new raid card.

    Unfortunately this does mean that I did not need to spend $300 on hdds to try to back up my raid array... but hey those drives are worth over $800 today due to price increases!

    Damn... the last time I RMA'd a video card with new egg it only took about 8 days shipped and received.
