Map downloads?

Every time a new map comes on it says "disconnecting. missing map de_blahblahblah" Tired of having to go find the map to dl it then rejoin. Any ideas on how to fix this?

With the past update Valve changed the directories that files are stored in. Reinstalling CSS should fix it. Chances are your CSS registry shows that you have the map downloaded (thus the reason it's not attempting to download the map from the server) but the file isn't placed in the correct area anymore.

First try deleting the clientregistery.blob.

Restart steam. If it doesn't work, restart PC, if it still doesn't work THEN reinstall CS:S.

Don't reinstall the whole damn thing when this can fix it in most cases. Sigh...

I'm having the same issue.

I get this error:
ConVarRef sm_noblock doesn't point to an existing ConVar
SetConVar: No such cvar ( sm_noblock set to 0), skipping
Missing map maps/zm_forgotten_town.bsp, disconnecting

I deleted the clientregistry.blob and it still didn't fix the problem.

Nevermind, it magically started working again.
