Reviving this because the regular season starts tomorrow =3
The Regular Season starts tomorrow (May 6th), opening with the Aquamarine period, which lasts till May 24th.
- There are 2 divisions: Nova and Stella. Each carry 36 characters.
- Nova Division features new characters within the last two years, plus some exceptions.
- Stella Division features characters from years beyond (pre-2010 seasons).
- Inter-division contests will only occur at Necklace Rounds (a small contest at the end of each period in which a small group of characters compete for a Necklace title, totally unrelated to the end of the year Tiara prize.)

Since there are a lot of contestants and the wall of text is unsightly, I'll be posting a screenshot of my votes from now on, except for necklace/tiara rounds....probably...

Hiiragi Kagami vs Misaka Mikoto somehow I feel like choosing between that is like you win either way but either way your really just letting the other greatest thing in the world go.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Katō Marika and Chiaki Kurihara are part of an exhibition round (along with their opponents, and the other exhibition rounders sumire and misa-chan as well).... meaning this will be one of the only times you will see them this year. I believe they have a "champion" round for exhibition round-ers, I'm not sure. Any shows that started in January 2012 or later missed the nomination period cuts, and thus they will not be in the regular competitions of isml 2012. But I do believe new characters will appear in the exhibitions as a kind of popularity/statistic analysis poll. Characters not making it on time will have a relatively strong chance in 2013, however.
Abstained exhibition because I'm not familiar with either pair and abstained CC vs Hecate...well, because neither have shown any "moe-ness" thus far....it's like choosing between Lay's potato chips and generic brand. Both bland and not very interesting... you lose either way....

I forgot all about this because of finals >.<
This time around, quite a couple matchups had
a) both characters I didnt know well
b) didnt want to compare too closely
c) both characters strongly lacked the moe factor and it'd pointless to give them the vote
Thus, I had 8 abstains I think?
