Well, some of the results were surprising, others weren't. The top three winners of each pool pass preliminary round and will be part of this year's competition. The losers will move on to Phase II of the preliminary season in order to be a part of this year's competitors.
Winners:
- Aisaka Taiga, Misaka Mikoto, and Shana.
The flame-haired & red-hot-eyed hunter takes first, BiriBiri takes second, and the Palmtop Tiger takes third.
- Iwasawa Asami, Iwasawa Asami, Mine Riko.
The Quad Holmes took first, then GDM's singer took second, and the True Quad eased into third. Disappointing result, but very predictable
- Asahina Mikuru, Louise Vallière, Shirai Kuroko.
The Void user pulled first, then came the SOS-dan's mascot, and finally a level 4 teleporter took third. I am puzzled as to why anyone voted for third in a contest of moe....
- Aragaki Ayase, Haqua du Lot Herminium, Makise Kurisu.
The names in reverse order will reveal who came first, second, and third.
- Ikaros, Index L. Prohibitorum, Oshino Shinobu.
The vampire came in first and the ever hungry Index received third.
- Haruna, Mikazuki Yozora, Suzutsuki Kanade.
The chainsaw wielding Mahou Shoujo came close to losing third place to Hotogi Shirayuki by 134 votes
- Fujibayashi Kyō, Sakagami Tomoyo, Shiina Mafuyu.
The CLANNAD duo came out strongest, with the tsundere following the school council president.
- Ayuzawa Misaki, Fear Kubrick, Sakura Kyōko.
The lance wielding Mahou Shoujo takes first, followed by a cursed and cursing cube, and then by a tsundere school council president who happens to work at a maid cafe
- C.C., Hecate, Hiiragi Kagami.
The Geass takes home gold, followed by the tsundere, and trailed by the quiet and sheltered Hecate.

Arena 1, of course, had some difficult selections, but not as much as the first day. I predict a landslide vistory by Kanade, Homura, and Kuroneko. In the other arenas, most contestants have no chance against the ever popular K-On and Clannad. (With the exception of Ritsu, she never does well.)
- Nakamura Yuri, Tachibana Kanade
- Hirasawa Yui, Tsukimiya Ayu
- Kisaragi Chihaya, Shinonono Hōki
- Furukawa Nagisa, Last Order
- Morishima Haruka, Tōwa Erio
- Ichinose Kotomi, Sanzen'in Nagi
- Himeji Mizuki, Shiomiya Shiori
- Holo, Kotobuki Tsumugi
- Konoe Subaru, Takahara Ayumi
-
Results for Day 2 of Preliminary Phase I. My predictions were pretty accurate, although K-On and Clannad didn't place the first-second that I anticipated.
- Akemi Homura, Gokō Ruri (Kuroneko), Tachibana Kanade
Of course, Tenshi wins gold. But I'm kinda surprised that Kuroneko was forced from first by over 1000 votes, as she is very popular; I thought Akemi Homura would take second, but she lost to Kuroneko by ~200 votes, and beat Yuu and Char by ~100 and ~200 votes respectively. I'm wondering if Tenshi has anything to do with it, or that the Homura faction is not as strong as I had thought it would be.
- Hirasawa Yui, Konjiki no Yami, Nymph
K-On cleanly slides into first, followed by Nymph, and then Yami. These three placed without much difficulty, fourth place being ~500 votes away from Yami.
- Honma Meiko, Kaname Madoka, Yuzuriha Inori
New anime seasons prevail, with Guilty Crown and AnoHana triumphing over another Puella Magi faction. Guilty Crown, weak in previous rounds, easily took first by ~700 over Meiko and Madoka
- Furukawa Nagisa, Hirasawa Ui, Last Order
Surprisingly, Last Order stands at first, followed by the bean bread lover and the responsible sister. Toaru is popular after all, but was interesting that Clannad and K-On, perhaps more popular, were defeated at the hands of a supercomputer of a genetic clone.
- Kirishima Shōko, Nakagawa Kanon, Tōwa Erio
Idk who any of these girls are. Erio wins, followed by Shoko and then Kanon. This grouping consisted mostly of the smaller titles in this competition
- Ichinose Kotomi, Illyasviel von Einzbern, Sanzen'in Nagi
Berserker's Master takes first, followed by one of the legendary tsundere four/five (if you count aria), and then by the screeching violin.
- Himeji Mizuki, Irisviel von Einzbern, Shiomiya Shiori
Von Einzbern takes the crown again! And then comes Mizuki and Shiori takes third.
- Holo, Izumi Konata, Kotobuki Tsumugi
Surprising results... Holo not only makes it into the regular season, she places first in her arena. Equally surprising is that Konata beat out the pastry-serving pianist, who hails from a legendary moe pool.
- Elucia de Lute Irma, Gasai Yuno, Konoe Subaru
Don't know much about these girls either. Subaru barely gets away with first, and the Future-Diary-yandere-ish girl lags behind Irma by less than a hundred votes
-
So it appears that my idea around the seeding round was wrong. "The results of this event will be used towards initial seeding of Contestants in the Regular Season only." So all the girls from the 0 group will be competitors in the regular season. This stuff still is confusing... So as it stands, these girls have made it in
