I got one cease and desist letter last year and it scared the living hell out of me. I stressed for a month over weather I was going to get an official letter from a lawyer on behalf of the company...lol.
Yes..I am a pussy.
I'm also never worried about being in a large class action law suit that could cost me hundreds and thousands that I don't have, so they'd most likely just take outta my ass. lolol.

I only torrent comics when I wanna see how they are. Green Lantern Blackest Night & Brightest Day series. Amazing. Bought it because I loved it. Marvel's Civil War series; eh.

Seriously, I got an email from my ISP once. It had the name of the item I "supposedly torrented" :P and it basically said that if I didn't stop, the company (not the ISP) were more likely to persue..it then said that they would not offer any information about my address or findings, unless a court order from the company was obtained. It also said that if I received 2 more cease and desist letter, such as that one..my internet connection could be severed by the ISP for atleast 6months.

Normally those letters come from automated systems tracking particualr torrents. 99.999999999% of what I dl is content that has no legal licance in the US and so they do not care and have no leagal authority to do anything. As a result I have dl a ton of stuff and never gotten a letter.
