  1. Default phone upgrade time!

so after 4 refurbs and a sidestep, it's time to upgrade my phone! i'm on sprint so basically my top options are:

    1. galaxy s2 epic 4g touch (god these names are getting too long)
    2. wait for a galaxy nexus (april-ish?)
    3. wait for galaxy s3 (a month or so after the nexus)

word is the galaxy s3 will have a quad core processor which could KICK ASS...but could also eat battery like no other. don't wanna be disappointed if i wait that long so i just wanted to know what the ibis braintrust had to say on the matter. gracias!

It will have a Tegra 3 Quad Core. Only Nvidia and Samsung know that atm... I hear it's actually rather decent from what people said at that even thingy.

I returned a Nexus (Too buggy and "clunky") in favor of a Spectrum (No problems so far what so ever, fast and smooth, does all I throw at it, eats the hell out of the battery as all LTE do, no matter what phone, that radio spectrum connection is gonna eat the shit out of it, learned its meter, lasts all day for me now). Loving my Spectrum, hope they finish up with ICS soon.
Make all your last demands for I will forsake you and I'll meet your eyes for the very first time, for the very last.

maynard <ibis>: they are awkward and last 2 damn long. I prefer thinner smaller ones

yeah i was looking at some videos with a galaxy s2 running ics leaks and it looked pretty solid. nothing too special but still ran smooth and stuff which is promising, even more so for the s3

i have a galaxy nexus and the problems i have with it is that some apps aren't up to date with ICS so it crashes a lot on my phone, plus battery life is...yeah...not so good. unless if you're on wifi, just on the LTE network i get maybe 7 hrs of battery life, but i do have lots of apps that require active sync running in the background for work. on a stable wifi connection i had over 14 hrs of battery life, so if you were to get it, i'd turn off the LTE network until you needed it to conserve the battery. the new samsung note (on att) is supposely supposed to have the best battery life out of any LTE device currently on the market and that thing is huge, so hopefully the new S3 should have somewhat of a good battery life on LTE. but if i were you i'd pass on the galaxy nexus, and wait for the S3

Edit: also the GNexus doesn't have removable storage it's all internal 32GB, and doesn't come with a native file explorer, i use ES for files, also lets me connect to the network to browse network shares at work.
and i don't know if you'll be connecting to an 802.1x EAP secured network for wifi, but there is an issue with DHCP, after you set the settings and try to connect for some reason it says you have really weak signal even though you're stranding right next to the AP, to fix it, just find an open IP, and set that IP as a static IP on your phone.
also you can't quick search your contacts from the dialer anymore =T
