The first season ran in late 2010 from October 3 to December 19, and aired 12 episodes. Four additional episodes were released on the web during the summer of 2011. Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai is an anime adaption of the light novel series by Tsukasa Fushimi; nine novels have been released, the latest of which was released in September 2011.

It has been decided that the second season will air in April of 2013! The studio has changed from AIC Build over to A-1 Pictures. It was stated that this season will be following OreImo's "true route" (because the first season skipped some parts, from what I hear?).


There are speculations that the second season will redo the first season and follow the light novel's events more closely, and as a result might have more than 13-15 episodes. While I haven't read the light novel, I have my doubts on these speculations. Looking forward to the springtime regardless
