naw. SM and the source server client resolve players on STEAMID and MAC address. If they were using the same router, then it'd trip a network flag or some other validation mechanism since routers use an independent MAC address to represent a client to a host. so that supports his dual client claim.
re-establishing your connection actually does do shit. it corrects time differences in the network rate and error checking. ever connect to the zm server and hear gargled Voice Chat? that's due to net rates being different from broadcast to listen
