I see..... that's lame. It's like a blank screen - I had to kill the process...

no if you wait it will join. But if it stuck for a few min there is a problem. Either server needs update or is crashed.

Also you can exit the connection attempt by typing disconnect in console.

Those screens will also display if your downloading a map or connecting to a custom map.
