Maynard - The WCS Guy
Looks interesting,
Might pick this up.
"Intolerance and superstition has always been the domain of the more stupid amongst the common folk and, I conjecture, will never be uprooted, for they are as eternal as stupidity itself. There, where mountains tower today, one day there will be seas; there where today seas surge, will one day be deserts. But stupidity will remain stupidity."
-
“You surround the dead with veneration and memory, you dream of immortality, and in your myths and legends there’s always someone being resurrected, conquering death. But were your esteemed late great-grandfather really to suddenly rise from the grave and order a beer, panic would ensue.”
-
“A coward dies a hundred times. A brave man dies but once. But Dame Fortune favours the brave and holds the coward in contempt.'
I still strongly favor the method of backseat coming. In that for marines one actual player is calling the strats from the ground and the com executing the plan. This frees up apm of the com to focus on implementing the strategy and predetermined build rather than trying to fly around the map and get data as to what the current state of the team is and where they need to be to win the game.
It is easier for those"on the ground" to see how well they are doing in particular areas of the map and where they can best gain strategic advantages. As the game matures and particular per hive builds/rushes are developed it will be easier for more people to com by first following the predefined recommend build for those conditions and then branching out from there.
I would com more but as I am usually one of the best shooters on the team I find it more valuable to have someone else com and then just get the team to implement a predefined build/hold pattern for that map/hive location.
Can't wait, used to play it all the time, though suck as commander. Hopefully they have smoother out the controls better so lerks dont fly like a brick on a zip line, and maybe, just maybe, onus will actually be worth the time it takes to get.
I hit Brett right in the feels.
