i never quite understood why people (Americans mostly) get so pissy about outside opinions of how others view us. Honestly who the fuck cares?

I can't speak for the majority, but I know plenty of soldiers who think like maynard, and serve because they love the structure of the military, the benefits, the friendships, to say "i served for your beliefs, and your freedom", for respect, to say i'm a proud soldier of the US Armed Forces, and the money when they get deployed. This is like a conversation between me and 3 other recruits plus 3 Army sergeants all with their own political views on WHY exactly they went to war. So to be honest... keep thinking what your thinking maynard. Fuck how thin skin people can get by opinions and beliefs. Funny I thought thats what we went to war in the first place for? Freedom. lawl. Yet again... even Army sergeants have their own view on it.

ya I know what you mean, I have a very good friend in the marines, and he agrees with the majority of shit I say, but the job comes with benifits so he just rolls with it regardless.
