Fedex and UPS weren't hiring, and didn't exactly let me drop in an application.. Unless I didn't find the right Fedex website?..

Tomrorow I'm gonna drop by the library and see if the newspaper has anything.. Monday college starts so hopefully some more jobs will open up on craigslist or something..

otherwise, contact financial aid and explain your situation. ask them for any type of work-study program or job around campus they can give you. my one friend needed one of those, and the college put her to work in the library. 3/4 her pay went to pay for school, the rest went to her pocket.

colleges need tons of people. groundskeeping, janitorial crap, secretary/clerical work...if you need it, you can't be picky.

for example, i'm looking into applying to work in Drexel's call-center for fall term, evenings, and also the front desk of each residence hall. the residence hall job especially is incredible. because your job is to swipe people's ID cards as they enter, and generally keep an eye on things. you're sitting at a desk waiting for people to come in, and can basicaly study while waiting

I live in my own apartment, but college is just up the road. Starts tomorrow.. Maybe I'll drop by the financial aid place afterwards.. I went there once and dropped in an application and they said every position was filled.. I'm not picky.. I've applied to literally everything now.. Except Mc. Donalds, because they aren't hiring.

HAH.. I got a job offer as a PT manager at Bank of America.. I should probably stop using IBIS Gaming as my job in my resume.. <.< Senior Administrator ftw..

Anyone know anything about West Corp? They apparently have a call center 6 miles from me.. Might try to go for an interview there.

There are a TON of jobs around me, mostly for Sales Reps and Legal Secretaries.

I got a part time job as a data entry engineer and a lab tech at LabCorp.

Edit: So I met two people at college.. Both have applied for hundreds of jobs with no luck, just like me.. Turns out most the people there are having the same problem.. Yay, I don't just suck!

Just got my certificate today.. Then guess what? The mall that was going to hire me if I got it hired someone else.. D=

So I'll be spending most of my week talking to security agencies and seeing if I can put this thing to use. Let's hope school doesn't get overwhelming.. I can't exactly bring myself to study right now..
