Ottawa/Montreal is turning out to be pretty good. Too bad they had to play each other the first round, always nice to see the Canadian teams do well. I think we can count Vancouver out now though, might even get swept.

Vancouver is folding, which is surprising because thats usually the Sharks role in the playoffs. And anytime players are regularly losing teeth in a gritty game, thats good tv. Pen's Islanders is also waaaay more interesting than I thought it was going to be. I think Ottawa is a better team than the canadiens, but I don't think they really have a team to go the distance. Anderson has played well so far, but I wouldn't rest my hopes on him.

really? I hate Ovechkin and his stupid Russian face. I was really pulling for the Jets to make it but they shit the bed at the end of the season so now I just want to see some good hockey. I also miss Ilya Bryzgalov :(

Miss him from what? Phoenix or the Ducks? He had a good shot and can play lights out but overall isn't worth his contract. And yeah, the russians in general are douches (ie Radulov and Koslov) but the Rangers are just the epitome of poor decisions and arrogant spending.

I just think he's hilarious, and the last couple years when they played the Pens has been some of the best hockey in a long time. Still, nothing matches the Wings/Avs from when I was a kid, that was by far the best hockey in the world. Up there with the Summit Series and Crosby destroying the Godless Americans.

I also HATE Marion Hossa, and for the stupidest reasons too. I always booed him, even when he was on the Wings.

No one will ever be Gretzky, it's not possible. you can't deny Crosby's skill and accomplishments. Who else is currently on his level? He elevates everyone around him and makes the team better.

They appointed Crosby the best player in the league, and ever year he fails to produce those results there is always and excuse, but when he does play well, only then are we seeing the "real" Crosby. I mean look at the team this year, Evgeni, morrow, and Iginla, not to mention players like Kunitz and others that they have, thats a great team without Crosby, and the reason they do well when he isn't there is because they finally let Evegeni have a shot at being the number 1 guy, and he produces, then when Crosby is back they are forced to work him.

You can find expired Police ID's online. Put one on your visor and flip it down when you're parked somewhere illegal. The attendant wont know and you can park anywhere you want. Just don't get caught by an actual officer.

As for my Cinco de Mayo, it rained in Georgia for four days straight. So I spent it holed up at the house looking out the window like a sad puppy who can't go outside to play. Also, while I'm quite fond of beer, my body seems to have developed a tendency to reject it (I get odd skin coloration/heat spots and pretty bad heartburn) so I couldn't even drink myself out of my bad weather depression.

It was still a good day though. I played some games, spent time with the wife and recovered from babysitting my niece and nephew on Saturday. They're three and one, respectively, and I implore anyone who's thinking of having children to babysit a few times first, hahaha.

hah. it's funny cuz she got CPR. seriously. i'm not kidding. ask her about it. and ultimately, the towing company was just doing its job from what i can tell...albeit poorly and in an asshole-ish manner. apparently they occasionally patrol that lot and just happened to pluck me out of the group of offenders. yeah they charge too damn much but they gotta make a living i guess. my fight isn't with them, it's with the complex for not properly enforcing their own parking rules, causing things like this to happen. i'll have words with them...once i get my car back. maybe i'll drive it through their door and ask if that's legal parking.
