This seems to be a get on board the train or get run over situation which I don't particularly like and it feels out of place... You mentioned in another thread that as long as a map receives at least some votes then it will be given a second chance. Care to detail how that will work?

To my understanding it will work like this. If bumfight wins citybrawl and wintercomplex will be featured again sometime. But if neither of them win that vote they will be deleted.
Quote :Omega "The voting will be set up like a fighting tournament system, every 3 days I will post a vote for 3 maps untill we get to 21, each map that wins will push on to the next voting line ups, as for the maps that do not they will have one more chance later to make a come back."
And if a map gets 0 votes it will be automatically deleted.
Quote :Omega "If a map gets 0 vote's to be saved it will be put on the remove list and taking out of the voting all together and will not be seen again (sorry maps that suck)."

Nope, the map that wins will be pushed to another vote later down the line, the 2 maps that lose will go to the trash bin and we will start another 3 map vote monday at 12 A.M, as we go from 21 maps we will end with 7 maps in all left to vote on again, the winner of 2 of the maps will win a spot to stay as a map to keep the last one will face off the top most voted on 2 losing maps on the last round of voting.[QUOTE=Bchhog;163993]To my understanding it will work like this. the above doesn't seems to jive with the below from a previous thread.

To be more direct than in my previous post, is this type of action (eliminating a large number of maps by limited forum vote) being supported by Clan members / ZERO? I agree that there are maps that need to be removed but I don't agree with the way it is being approached. Problem maps have been handled individually in the past via map removal requests and I don't see a problem with that. Also, feedback on this approach and the maps for removal prior to vote has been provided by long-time regulars of the ZM community and seemingly ignored or disregarded.

Poor - Poor maps with few places to hide. Chances of winning are very unbalanced (>= 80%). Settings need to be altered to ensure an ok experience. Impossible spots are common. Crouch camping is mandatory.
zm_aftermatch_fixed
zm_wintercomplex_b1
Terrible - Awful maps. Chances of winning/losing are near 0. Settings cannot change the experience of the map. Impossible spots are common. Exploitable spots.
zm_vc2_citybrawl_b1 - No real good cading spots.
Good - Underplayed Maps with good spots. Near even chance of winning/losing (~55-65%). None to maybe one unfair spot. (A long tube, a 'Bastard Spot' or an impossible cade that has been made illegal.) Good atmosphere. Decent variety.
zm_fortress_b4
zm_labor_gigantic
zm_lila_panic_v2
zm_Fidlers-Green_b2
zm_lila_panic_beach
zm_citylife_V2
ze_voodoo_islands_v7 - Parachutes should be off.
ze_PotC_v3_4fix - Parachutes may be on or off.
zm_radikal_stronghold_b1
zm_miniature_room_v1
zm_csk_4corners_b2
zm_fubar_towers_v4
zm_mall_beta_b1
zm_roy_zombieranch_night_b4
zm_3dubka_v3
zm_churchofmint_fix
zm_complication_v6
ze_paradise_v1 - Parachutes MUST be turned OFF.
zm_bumfight_v2
I rest my case.

all of the maps that are listed above to be removed are all the maps that are listed in the server !map_vote poor-varygood and are all rated vary poor as well as no one ever wants to play them when we do land on the maps. I was asked by zero to take the time to do this if you think u could do a better job u are more then welcome to take the time to do so man.

I like the existing map removal system in place and don't see a problem with it as I stated above. The "better job" I would do is leave it alone and let these things be handled through existing channels. Don't like a map and think it should be removed? Post up in maps section and gather input from the active ZM community. If the majority of the people posting feel the map should be removed then remove it. I'm better with that than pitting maps against each other. Personally, I would have kept Zm_wintercomplex_b1 and Zm_bumfight_v2. Are either of them great maps? I don't think so, but I enjoy playing them from time to time and the map variety is part of what keeps me coming back. If you're following ZERO's wishes then so be it.

Since when were admin generated votes treated as a source for accurate data?
Since when was the maprate system an accurate way to gauge the server's opinions?
And since when did we entrust our decisions to players who hardly know what to do on the server, let alone know what is best for the server?
The remove section of the zombie mod forum is much more reliable than a handful of players that have half a baked mind together. I suggest using it.

Yes this. As I said earlier, we shouldn't be listening to the masses on this, as most of them are inexperienced. Because of this the server related data is not reliable and shouldn't be used. How many people vote horrible just to get it off the screen, I know several people that do this.
