View Full Version : Ups bs
So everything is dilevering today, Fedex, Mail, newspaper, Amazon, DHL. I get shipments from all of them today but UPS is shutdown due to weather!? WTF there is not even ice on the roads anywhere here shit was mostly clear yesterday already.
Just goes to show that UPS is the service you can count on not to deliver your package asap.

At this point you should know that Americans have no idea how to deal with snow. A car fucking exploded in North Carolina because they got half an inch. Order stuff in the summer.

I did it through CS. But lost package. Had to sign affidavit.
UPS blows with that stuff, if you have signed up as a member online with them, you have easier recourse. As it is, they usually don't provide any actual help, especially if your items are still in transit.
Gotta go DHL!
Finally got it today, the box was almost in 2 pieces. Yes a box literally almost ripped in half. Luckily due to the packaging nothing was on that side of the box and everything was still in the box. Also it was just film and a tripod but if it had been anything not able to survive thousands of g forces or being tossed out of an airplane from 20,000ft it would have been broken.

Call UPS claims, and ask for a partial refund for delay of shipment. UPS is horrible with giving back money, but if it is a much delayed time, they might be able to do something. If they claim that it's "weather related" tell them that's BS because you had other delivery services get it to you on delivery date, or atleast 1 day after even with weather delayed services.
I get a lot of credit back to my account (but then again, I ship via UPS Freight 2 times a week from CA to MD).
That sucks though. Atleast nothing was damaged.

up here in Indiana (at least) we do just fine in snow/ice conditions, most everybody slows down appropriately
then we get to laugh at the southerners in this mess that treat snow like finding bigfoot
as a matter of fact on the news the other day one lady in Georgia said to the reporter "it's impossible to drive on ice, absolutely impossible. this is ridiculous"
i watched that then i laughed and drove to work over roads and roads of ice

I am from NY and this was my first winter living in Virginia Beach.
My god...the people can't drive here worth a shit on a sunny day. Imagine what it was like when we had 2 inches of snow. Now I have experience driving in all types of weather (minus a tornado) so I know what and how, but when you pull me over for doing the speed limit while the roads are CLEAR in a snow shower.......COME ON MAN!
