Have an idea for a role that you want to offer up to be used by a mod in an IBIS game? Post it here.

Have you played with a cool role or variation that you enjoyed and want someone to use it? Post you cunt!

That goes for interesting modifiers as well, anything and everything!

Role Name:
Possible Alignment:
Abilities:
Description:

- - - Updated - - -

Role Name:Sniper
Possible Alignment: Town
Abilities: Works in conjunction with a Spotter to make a 100% kill during day or night.
Description: The Sniper and the Spotter will know who each other are at the start of the game, however will have no form of communication other than the basics. If the Spotter is killed, however, the Sniper's successful kill percentage drops to 50%, a 25% chance of miss or a 25% chance of hitting a random player.

This could be a way to balance out the vigilante role in smaller games, or give the mafia a reward if they're under powered. The day/night kill options would be up to the mod.

i like the sniper thing.
my question tho: how would the sniper initiate a shot on a target?
Does the spotter have to write something in discussion to target someone?
Do they both have to send the mod the same name of player to kill off?
Or does simply the existence of a spotter acts as an enabler for 100% snipe proc no matter who the sniper decides to shoot?

The call would come from the sniper only.

Where you can get creative is if the action is seen by a watcher/tracker or not, or if the spotter gets seen as well. The spotter doesn't get to submit an action, just tags along and adds another element as they need to protect each other to succeed.

Taxi Driver :

Faction: any, but usually town sided. Acts similarly but not identically to a bus driver.
ABILITY: once per night, select 2 players. If the first target has any actions sent to the mod , they are forced to use that night actions on the second target instead.
(so acts like a bus for a second player but let's you control which action is bused and who it came from

Ditto:

Side : any, usually town sided.

Abilities: at night (possible usage of ODD night modifier) , ditto passively learns one of the abilities used on him. The next night only, he can actively use that ability as his own too.

sooo.. ditto = mega nerfed Universal Backup

<h3>Tortoise< /h3>
You are but a turtle, bound to the sea. You swim fast and have managed to prepare yourself from the poachers most notable weapon. Firearms!

A tortoise is hardened, completely immune to gun shots. However, tortoise is slow and dumb, thus vulnerable to all sorts of tricky.
--If shot be any faction, you are immune. Always.
--If any faction aside from town, uses an ability on you (except gun shots, i.e. a role block) You die.

An edit: Possibly add "immune to first lynch, casted on you"

Purpose of role. To encourage a player to play flamboyantly and loud, via posts and forums. To soak up claims on behest of another. i.e. Fake claim cop to provide cover for cop so you eat a bullet at night phase. (ofc, this sort of tactic is extremely advanced and i dont think most of our players here would understand a CC vs, cover claiming.)

edit: Reason- A role like this allows mods to evenly balance a game that is more town sided, by allowing the possibility of mafia getting two kills one night (though this possibility is very small, given the number of players in our big games)

More like ditto forces one of the ppl who visited him to grant them something similar to an inventor gift of their main action for the night.
Note that obviously the only way ditto would learn "kill" is if he survived the night by protection from someone else or a stolen ability from night before. Because otherwise, ditto would be dead? Lol, so no it can't be a universal backup of all roles (or nerves version of it) since it can't recreate all actions under normal conditions and cannot do an action without first being used on them the night before :)

That stick i see, sorry, that branch i see, poking out your ass hole. Please remove it!
Im making fun kid.

Regardless, U backup equates to, player learning role when x player dies ect. Your version is a nerfed version of it, but equates in power due to the simple fact .. wait.. you are aware that your suggest role would do the following?

Immediately alert the "ditto" role of any role in the game if a said role as used on them. Thus practically eliminating all possible fake cliams and use for a "ditto" in an open game.

har Dar!
