Tower is shitty, but its got some pretty good accessories. Dual monitors like opened up the true potential of using a computer, seriously recommend it. Its about 3-4 years old though, so it should be replaced asap.

I notice you have a katana. Me too. It's hanging on my wall where I can stand up and pull it out if need be. I also keep a very sharp 7-8 inch dagger on a shelf under my desk which I can pull out in a hurry. My cutlass, broadsword and straight blade katana (I kind of favor it the most, it's the longest of them all) are in my closet with a few other daggers. Recently I got a nice zombie-killing black blade machete type sword. I want to test it out. >.>

I'm not home at the moment, but in the morning I could take a picture of the setup I have at my grandparents house. Dual laptops lol.

Anyway, the whole sword/dagger collecting thing started when I was about 12. And I have the dagger in arm's reach because I live somewhat in the woods of Florida. There aren't many civilized people out here, and none of them are really friendly. There's been plenty of reports of robbers and such breaking into houses around our area awhile back. So it doesn't hurt to have a trusty katana and dagger in arm's reach.

Besides, a year or few too young to own a gun. Though my mom does have one locked away. Although she wouldn't use it..

I'm not knifing, I'm using a long heavy sword to cut their heads off. Besides, like I said before.. Depends on the invasion. What if it was those slow and stupid zombies from Shawn of the Dead? I could take those things out all day.

Anyhow, I got a picture of my setup at my grandparents house.

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll288/Metric_Zero/laptops/IMG_0219.jpg

The one on the left I use for music and video games. My music I get from my PSP which is on the left of it. The one on the right I use for just mostly storing things and instant messaging. That one I take home with me, other one stays here.

If I happen to get unlazy enough when I get home (doubtful) I'll take a picture of my setup there.

Edit: Reminds me of the time my cousin and I set up the three laptops we had. We had a new one, a middle aged one, and an ancient one, all running at once. We took a picture for the hell of it. I wonder if he still has that..

I have an entire folder filled with psychedelic and otherworldly pictures like that. I can upload or email you some of them later. The one I have on my computer at home is way better.

Also, the reason why I have laptops here is because this isn't my home. I come here on the weekends to help out, and its easier to bring laptops then computers.

Home is where the heart(main computer) is.

Okay, I got unlazy enough to role my decision dice, and oddly enough I got snake eyes. 1-3 was take a picture, 4-6 was don't take a picture. My entire room is a nerd's lair.

Well first of all, my monitor kicks ass as you can tell.(12 year old IBM monitor FTW!) Also went ahead and took my dagger off the top of my computer and put it out for the hell of it.

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll288/Metric_Zero/laptops/IMG_0033.jpg

Since that isn't the entire setup in my room, I have two more pictures to show you. Second of all is my bookcase of awesomeness. There's another layer of video games and movies behind the ones in front.

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll288/Metric_Zero/laptops/IMG_0030.jpg

And finally, when I'm not on my main computer, I'm playing my PS3 with a random subwoofer attached to it, while laying on the end of my bed on my laptop. PSP is hooked up to the laptop as well.

The walls are covered in the boxes of old games. The back wall used to have large posters such as a one of a kind custom HL2 poster. The last game to be put on the wall was HL2 after that I decided that I was not going to put up any more. This setup is logically from my parents place with temp desks. My setup at school looks a lot different and the desk is also a lot nicer.

Don't get *really* drunk to the point where you puke, that's just dumb. Get drunk enough to the point where your perception of reality is altered enough to make happiness a "virtual illusion."

^^.

Also, nice setup ZERO. Nice towers, and nice audio box. I'll take some pictures of my pre-amp and power-amp for comparison lol.

I have stopped using it in my room as it's just overkill. Great for a party, but way overkill for a bedroom. I'll just say it's 120A per channel, and 2 300W RMS speakers.

I'm not sure how you can stand having a headset on. In Florida, your head would be so sweaty from that thing you'd probably pull your own hair out. Though, I can see how you might want it if you wanted privacy, or wanted to stay up late at night.

Thats because your rig isn't powerful enough to run css with all its graphical settings on high :lmao: Turn everything on and see if it can keep the max cap of 60 fps.

Here is my rig.

Aircrack-ng is an 802.11 WEP and WPA-PSK keys cracking program that can recover keys once enough data packets have been captured. It implements the standard FMS attack along with some optimizations like KoreK attacks, as well as the all-new PTW attack, thus making the attack much faster compared to other WEP cracking tools.

In fact, Aircrack-ng is a set of tools for auditing wireless networks.

http://www.aircrack-ng.org/screenshots/aircrack-ng.gif

I have seen people use this program for minor stuff, like going into a wifi cafe, hacking the password and fucking with everybody with their connection wise. But it can also be good if you do not have internet and there are locked wireless connections in you area.

We can still get to you. All we have to do is wait till you leave, then go up to the house dressed up as electricians or the cable company and tell however is inside the house that you called us with because of an electrical outlet or modem problem in your room or where ever you computer is stored. We will then take this time to setup a wireless network inside of your house without you even knowing.

Thus we shall have access.

I got mine at Target, for about 200. Sound quality is good, but if you turn it to maximum volume,(Would be too loud for me anyways) the speakers will start to freak out a bit.. As for quality, I can hear everything in CS:S. And the Bass is great.. I love it. LOSS format music sounds incredibly great. I can actually tell the difference between 128 and 160 bit rates for mp3's too.

It wasn't made for PC though, but I managed to get it hooked up to my PC.

Maximum PC ( http://www.maximumpc.com/tags/back+issues )has some great back-issues online as a resource and has some amazing guides on building a home PC that games like a pro and will save you tons of money. they also have some of the best reviews for the latest and greatest parts.

Newegg.com, as tired as this sounds, is also an amazing site for parts.

One last addition to set you on the right track is http://lifehacker.com/, great ideas for anything and everything with less ads and clutter than Instructables.com.

Hope that helps :).

HDD: Solid State 60GB with 1TB External
CPU: Intel i7 CPU x980 3.33GHz

I made sure to give higher consideration to items with things like rebates and/or markdowns. You'll have to put the elbow time in yourself but that's half the fun! And it's cheaper than your barebone kit >.>

you might be relaxed. but when you're playing CSS on a competitive level, and you care what your score is.... relaxed is the last thing you should be.. you should be sitting up, and be able 2 utilize micro-seconds 2 the best of you ability... CSS is nothing but reaction time, and how 2 play it out. if you weren't "sitting in bed" on a relaxed lvl, you would be doing a Hell of a lot better. your average score is like 4-16... and I know you can do better then that.

and ive seen you dish out really nice ratio's on WCS form time 2 time... if you got a proper desk, I think you would probably be doing it far more often then your currently are...

as I said in the server, if you think bears hacks, you're retarded lol....

here's a free tip for WCS'ers... if you see where the vegabond or lion is looking when they teleport... they end up pretty much in a direct line from where they were looking... between looking at your radar, and watching where they were looking when they hit teleport it's very easy 2 find vegabonds/lions.

and even if you don't see where they teleported 2.... and if you know they are near by, just start watching your radar, and scanning around... they're not hard 2 pick up.

including if the tele across the map then shift walk 30 seconds threw a maze of halls?

any ways, back on topic lol.. is that build dice posted a sufficient gaming build?
I want to make sure there are no flaws considering it is alot of money im spending, would hate to see somthing burn up and fry the first month.

Lmfao....:lmao: I hope you're really drunk tonight or have some good excuse. cause trying 2 claim bears hacks is beyond funny... more so when I was watching you first person and nothing was off during the round. don't mean 2 be off topic but if you're gonna try and claim such stupid things which can lead 2 serious punishments and problems for the person in question, they clearly need 2 be acknowledged
stop being the boy who cried hacks, it's clearly not working out for you.

also you can't really claim this is off-topic cause half my beef is with the fact you lay in bed looking 2 the left when you play lol.... which I believe is half your problem... your "gaming setup" is no good.

Here you go mikey, I was bored and made you a nifty shopping list. It comes to $868 INCLUDING your video card and 1TB hard drive (Compare that to $800 for just that barebone). Its got the absolute best RAM on the market PERIOD and a really nice mobo with what you need and none of the bullshit to hike price.

I made sure to give higher consideration to items with things like rebates and/or markdowns. You'll have to put the elbow time in yourself but that's half the fun! And it's cheaper than your barebone kit >.>

All items on Newegg.

1x COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000 Black Mid Tower (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196)
1x Western Digital Cav Black 1TB 7.2kRPM 32MB Cache SATA 3Gbps HDD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284) <- Won't make use of all 6Gbps ur board delivers, but those drives are expensive. You can expand later. (Or now :D)
1x MSI 870A-G54 AM3 ATX Motherboard with USB3 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130275)
1x XFX Radeon HD5770 1GB PCI-e x16 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447) <- Exact card you wanted
1x XFX Black Ed 750W CrossFire Ready MODULAR PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207003) <- Modular = win. Also silver certified.
2x Mushkin Enhanced BLACKLINE 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226103) <- Best memory on the market. Note to buy 2 kits for the full 8GB.
1x AMD PhenomII X6 'Thuban' 2.8GHz (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103851)
1x CoolIT ECO-R120 Advanced Liquid Cooling Kit (Ceramic) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835227006) <- This will be the only hard part of your build, but CoolIT has really nice tutorials on installation.

Here's an alternative MoBo, its basically big brother of the board I picked, and as such it is more expensive. However, its a beast board.
MSI M90FXA-GD65 AM3 ATX Motherboard with USB3 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130565)

some changes
Its a gaming PC, put more emphases on the GPU, and really that RAM is not needed unless your putting on a 2.4 ghz ram OC... and thats useless, RAM OC rarely show themselves in real world applications

CS:S utilizes CPU more than GPU, as it is an older game. Hence why I kept his 6core and the less powerful card.

And those mushkin sticks are cheaper and beat the shit out of ripjaws. Sure, memory OC isn't precisely necessary, but this kit shits on everything else out there stock. I've built around 20 pcs for people. I've used corsair, pqi, gskill, kingston, none of them hold a candle to mushkin. Mushkin is king of RAM. I'd do a fucking commercial for them.

Also, he wants liquid cooling, so a CPU fan isn't necessary. Water block ftw!

P.S.
While I was sitting here daydreaming about a Mushkin stick literally eating a G.Skill stick; I came across this:

Pros: Cheap and plentiful

Cons: A little tall... I had to install in a slot one over from the CPU fan because it wouldn't fit.

Manufacturer Response:
.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. We are sorry to hear the heat spreader did not fit in the first slot. This is odd as it should clear most aftermarket CPU coolers. Glad to hear you were able to remedy the situation by moving it over. Should you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you
GSKILL SUPPORT

Quality and customer service are our top priorities.

The order of the parts will be apparent when you have them unless you were never able to build lego.

lol aggreeed

Mikey best thing you ccan do is when you have your shit, put the ram cpu, and cpu cool together on the motherboard on the table and put your other shit together in the case and and when everything looks good drop the board in teh case and plug in wires .... most mother manuals will have easy instructions if your not sure where a cable goes. And if your system post your pretty much good... and install software

dont like wireless via gaming, specially for a desktop...... but if you cant run cables you will need to get a wireless adapter card then..... hell I got like 3 linksys oens lieing around
