manbearpig do not get shift!get dirt 2 if you want an amazing racer for the 360! its really good, you wont be dissapointed. a lot of playability and when you finally do beat it, the xboxlive multiplayer is amazing.

well, i dont buy 360 games anymore i rent from gamefly.com . I should be getting Halo ODST in the mail tuesday/wendnesday though. if the 360 game is really good then i might buy it from gamefly. Ive bought games from them for dirt cheap. For example i bought fear 2 for $9 bucks. The funny thing is i can trade it in for $17 right back to them for store credit. I probably won't be picking ODST up, ever. The HALO series bored me to tears after 2. I played 3 for 3 weeks, beat it on Legendary, found all the skulls, I got most of the armor pieces (Hayabusa = Best), and played a few GameBattles.net matches with some friends.

Once CoD4: MW came out, I dropped Halo 3 completely. The only reason dust never piled up was because my nephew would play it 24/7.

MW2 and Darksiders will be taking up my game time for awhile.

ive been playing halo since i was in the 7th grade and im in college now and i still love it. halo brings back a lot of great memories with friends, sleep overs, lan parties, and halo parties. the first halo campaign was the best. halo 2 multiplayer was the best imo. and halo 3 is still great, campaign and multiplayer. but security and recon armor are > hayabusa :wtg:

i end up going through stages where i play mw for a few weeks then i get tired of it and switch back to halo 3. theyre both fun.

from what i've read MW2 isn't doing to be all that great, nothing compaired to the first one. it really sounds like they screwed it up, you get riot shields (that take two clips to break) you can duel wield weapons, there are death streaks, so if you really suck you spawn with powers and shit. it just doesn't seem like it'll be what CoD games usually are, which is too bad.

i really hope that what i've heard is jsut a minor thing that really doesn't affect the game...

I actually enjoy the idea of "death streaks" in opposition to "kill streaks". It brings a form of balance to the game, making it more challenging for us pro's to kill all the noobs out there.

I'm still debating whether or not to pick it up on the 360 or the PC, although I may buy both. It's seems easier for communities and competitive play to form on the PC, rather than on consoles.

I tried GameBattles.net out for a good while when I had my 360 a couple years ago. Went through GoW, GRAW2, R6 Vegas, and CoD4 seasons... but it just didn't have the same feel as CAL or CEVO on the PC.

there isnt even a matchmaking system for firefight. well, as far as i know. the only way i know to play it with other people is i have to invite friends to my game. if there is a way to do matchmaking, someone please enlighten me.

sure you can. it's a return when you want to plan with no due date. I had the two games plan so I would play one online once i beat it and rent a new game that i didn't really want to play online. lol

i had to bump this thread for two reasons:
1. i take back what i said about odst.
so when i first bought the game, i had no idea that on the mombasa streets missions you press up on the d pad to get a nav point to show you which way you have to go in order to get to the next clue to start the next mission. when i first got it, i played odst for maybe two days without knowing this and became impatient, angry, and in the end, i quit playing it. so after months of never completing the campaign, i was bored one day and decided to play odst because i payed sixty dollars for it and i really didnt want to feel like i wasted the money. after playing, i figured out the d pad thing and since completing the campaign, i have changed my mind about the game. the campaign was awesome (four out of five on my imaginary scale) and firefight is a lot of fun with four friends over live. the thing is, i feel bad for saying this game sucked in the first place when i should have done the tutorial first so that i would have known how good the game really is a long time ago. odst overall is really good and the achievements are fun to get. now i know that my money wasnt wasted.
2.i am back into playing halo 3.
i forgot how much fun live was. ive been playing halo 3 for about the past two months trying to gain back the skill i once had in halo 2 and also teabagging noobs with my recon armor on. also, i was wondering if anybody here plays halo 3 on live.

Halo was boring after the first one. The newest one is basically Halo 3 with a different story.

Console gaming isn't bad, I love it. In fact, I'm really looking forward to M.A.G. and Battlefield: Bad company 2, for PS3 of course. Because as we all know, 360 breaks every time you turn it on.

Bad idea. Should always look into games before buying them. I learned my lesson from spending 60 dollars on Gears of War 2, and 60 on Unreal Tournament 3.. Don't get me wrong, GoW2 was alright, but in the first one we KILLED all of the Locusts.. They were dead! So what happens? They somehow live. And now they're stretching the story like they did for Halo, which in turn, ruins it.

and halo isnt being stretched out. each game is a different part of the story. kind of like the starwars movies.

the only stretch that i can think of was with the game halo wars. halo does not need an rts game spin off and that game really failed.
