I was going to get my dad's 1990 Volvo Wagon but it's almost falling apart.

It looks like its falling apart but the motor is just as strong as the day i bought it.

I have a 200c acura mdx fully loaded but I didn't do anything to it. Will post pics when I get home.

I also have a 2006 nissan maxima. Tints rims the headrests have tv's on the back. Hooked up a laptop into the glove compartment with internet capabilities hooked up to my radio. Insta songs whenever I want and if I don't got, then ill download them. Also got a navi built into a dashboard. Waiting for my friend to get the speakers in and ill get a new sound system. LOL wrong a lot more than you think! I cruise at 90 on the busa. Fastest yet on a public highway was 175mph. When I race land speed I go 200mph+ at the track around 140-160mph+

Here is one of my first runs ever on the busa. It was bone stock I bogged the shit out of the launch but still managed a 10.8 at 134mph

Most of it I do on closed courses and tracks I do tend to ride 90+mph to keep away from cars (Cages) Idiots don't know how to drive around bikes, would not believe the amount of times I have been cut off or they "Didn't see me" so I ride defensively. Always wear my gear etc. I won't think twice about ripping someones mirror off though if I get cut off and good luck trying to even catch me lol.

Yes I ride hard and fast but I ride only for myself and not to endanger others. The 175mph ride was at 3am with no cars around just another busa who could keep up.

I have crashed a few times and learned from everyone. After fighting 3 tours in the war as a infantry medic I think I have a different out look on life now lol. Not much compares to fighting a war so its hard to stay "entertained". Hopefully I don't end up in a box prematurely but if I do I have lived a hell of a life.

My busa is all "murdered out" Getting repainted right now frame is getting powdercoated black and the body is going gloss black again. Gun Metal is pretty easy to clean and maintain. Plus scratches on gun metal can go unnoticed and def. a good rim to invest during the winter time with snow and what not.

as for the black on black, I don't know where you guys live, but here in the southwest region of AZ, there is only like 2 asians I've seen drive a luxury car that is black on black. most asians here still have sports cars like civics and nissan Z3, they don't do black on black. the only vehicles here that do that are the lifted trucks.

So for a living I wholesale cars, and have seen, touched, bought, drove more cars then any of you ever will in your life(unless some of you also work in the business) and reading some of these posts make me laugh. First of all, ALL cars can SUCK and all cars have the POTENTIAL to be awesome. With that said others are better then most.

For the "opinions" going around in this thread let me say this - black on black is the MOST popular and sought after color combination in the auto world. Next would be pearl white/black. Other "normal" colors are alright such as blue-silver-burnt orange/bronze-red. Colors such as yellow-green-gold-brown and anything thats odd usually is worth less then the exact same car with a better color combination.

As for this ford vs anything else debate. Let me put this way, there is a reason why Ford isn't bankrupt and doing fairly well in European markets. Toyota make fantastic cars, but there v8 engine and tundra could use some work, with that said if your buying a truck don't be a moron and buy a toyota because it's a toyota. The Honda Ridgeline however is probably the BEST truck on the market for overall need. If you need a truck with just pure power and are towing a 30+ foot camper or something then you would want a diesel dodge. But if I was to ever buy a truck I would probably buy a ford. Right now the truck we use to tow cars on our tow dolly use a 99' ford f250 with 265k miles on it, the engine nor the transmission has been replaced or rebuilt and it's still one the nicest driving trucks I've ever driving. Now don't get me wrong with GM/chevy trucks, they can be nice the GM duramax diesel is a pretty strong engine but for just over all power/performance/drive the ford wins.

Now usually the debate on whats better is always personal opinion driven and goes by case by case scenario's but in the 6+ years I have been doing this what I said remains to be true on average.

Also I currently drive a 01' ford explorer xlt for a winter beater since I drive a lot and the winters up here can be brutal on cars I wanted something cheap and 4x4, picked mine up for 1300 bucks so never going to complain with that. I'll probably sell it around April for 3kish to a private person and then I'll be looking to buy a trans am ws6 or perhaps a GTO with super high miles, I'll have to wait and see what comes along.

*edit I forgot to mention, imo BMW's make the best car on the market, there is nothing on the market like a 540-545 or 750il. However the v8-v12 BMW engines can be nightmares.

You are right Andrew. Usually, when someone refers to "color on color", it is referring to exterior/interior. However, in the context of this thread, it is referring to exterior/wheels. In regards to black cars on black wheels, I've never been a fan of it, but to each his own. I have a black NSX on black rims w/ polish lip, but I recently swapped it out for the CCW Classics.

As for this ford vs anything else debate. Let me put this way, there is a reason why Ford isn't bankrupt and doing fairly well in European markets. Toyota make fantastic cars, but there v8 engine and tundra could use some work, with that said if your buying a truck don't be a moron and buy a toyota because it's a toyota. The Honda Ridgeline however is probably the BEST truck on the market for overall need. If you need a truck with just pure power and are towing a 30+ foot camper or something then you would want a diesel dodge. But if I was to ever buy a truck I would probably buy a ford. Right now the truck we use to tow cars on our tow dolly use a 99' ford f250 with 265k miles on it, the engine nor the transmission has been replaced or rebuilt and it's still one the nicest driving trucks I've ever driving. Now don't get me wrong with GM/chevy trucks, they can be nice the GM duramax diesel is a pretty strong engine but for just over all power/performance/drive the ford wins.

Now usually the debate on whats better is always personal opinion driven and goes by case by case scenario's but in the 6+ years I have been doing this what I said remains to be true on average.

Also I currently drive a 01' ford explorer xlt for a winter beater since I drive a lot and the winters up here can be brutal on cars I wanted something cheap and 4x4, picked mine up for 1300 bucks so never going to complain with that. I'll probably sell it around April for 3kish to a private person and then I'll be looking to buy a trans am ws6 or perhaps a GTO with super high miles, I'll have to wait and see what comes along.

*edit I forgot to mention, imo BMW's make the best car on the market, there is nothing on the market like a 540-545 or 750il. However the v8-v12 BMW engines can be nightmares.

I was looking into getting a new car so I was browsing different used ads and came across a corvette with 102K miles on it, year is 1989. Its only being sold for $7500. Is that good or should I find another car with fewer miles on it?

Well, that's a really difficult question to answer. I bought my vette 5 years ago with 35000 mi on it and now it has 40000 miles. It's just a toy and a weekend special etc. If that's your intention then go for it as long as it has a clean intterior, no accidents, and is fairly clean. (take it to a body shop for an analysis, and a trusted mecahnic for the rest)

Now, If you're going to use it daily, then I'd pass! Most people that would buy this car are either collectors or vette enthusiasts that would probably restore it and show it or drive it as I do.

IE: 5.0 Mustang - Camaro - Trans AM - you should find a quick ride for short bux but buy some tools! Not that hard to fix and cheaper for parts than foreign.

It already has a decent pull, stock that it is. Let me see if I can remember, there was a long stretch of road that had no cops on it, it took my car from 0-60 in about 10 to 12 seconds (using the automatic to manual bypass).

I had a 69 SS 396 w/ engine B/B, Crane cam, solid lifters, TRW rods, custom headers, dual feed Holley 4bbl 950cfm, dragbars, rear airbags, 456 posi rear end, (had 411's but blew them) B+M hydro tranny (it outshifted anyone with a manual although I was able to speed shift I opted for auto) and ran it a few temes at New England Dragway and a lot of street racing.


0-60 in about 10 to 12 seconds This thing did the 1/4 mi in less than that LOL

I could put a $100.00 bill on the dash and nobody could reach it after I hit the gas :P ( Serious G's)

So I guess I'm a bit of a gearhead :)

Today it's 400-500 hp custom built 4 cyl w/ Nitro But myself, like XXX prefer the old tme bigblocks :)

PS~Not what you'd want to drive on a daily basis especially at todays gas prices - gas was $.35 a gallon for hi test (premium) back then - No wisecracks please
