So this morning I decided to play resident evil 4 on my wii. All of a sudden a I went to the merchant to buy a rifle then I got stuck trying to redo my inventory then my dad comes into the room yelling at me for playing games with shooting and I'm like whatevar. Then my grandma comes into the room giving the same speech and I'm all like WTF GTFO. Then my parents last week kept on nagging me about when they buy my new computer I can only play it on saturdays and I'm FUCKING COME ON and they said no shooting games even though they know I have l4d,css,and kf. Fail helicopter sir

Masta my parents tried to do the same thing to me. My mom didn't want me playing violent video games so she wouldn't rent any for me. (I had to download them online). Same with music and movies. For everything she tried to do to prevent me from doing something, I found a way to get it and do it. Friends houses are the best! I saw gory movies and played violent video games over at my friends house that my mom had no idea I was doing. As you get older you'll get better and better as getting away with the things you want to do.
And bro, if they put computer restrictions or web blockers or game rating blockers, let us know. Because I am sure all of ibis can find a work around so you can play.

Thanks Anex but i'm pretty sure that if my dad can't work google chrome then he won't know how to do whatever you said
Oh and also Mastacheff, if they start using passwords on stuff so you can't access it, try this.
Keylogger (records every keystroke, including when people type in passwords)
Good program when you want it to work for you.
http://www.keylogger.org/ <--- Big compilation of programs
Most of which you could probably find free on torrents anyways.
Aren't you like 12 years old? That alone says it. Let them be "helicopter" parents because after a certain time they won't give a damn.

Meh i rather get good at fps at an early age rather than trying them like while 56
OOoooo thats low Mastacheff...
Your priorities are pretty crappy. After a certain time being good at video games won't matter in real life.

You are 12, I didnt get my first M game untill I was 16.
Just calm down. according to the rating system you shouldnt even be playing T. Just play some fun E and T games. really at 12 I played what I had, and for the most part they were educational games, and they were fun.

That's REALLY not the way it works.

Lmfao... Epic Comment.
Master you fail brah.
Go outside and be a 12 year old while you can. Save the Video games for when you are a bit older and spending 9 hours playing "guns" just doesn't appeal to you anymore... I miss being young :c
Edit: Just get a girlfriend that likes you when your around 16, I learned recently that the only people you can actually legitimately trust in your life are people that love you. I don't do anything but play video games, paintball, and hang out with my girlfriend. When I graduate highschool I'm getting a job and an apartment with her. Master you just chillax and lay of the gaming for a while. Seriously go do things that are still fun while you that young.
Edit: Yes I am a lazy bum.

keep at it res. hold on to love when you can find it. always remember though, that love is always in the moment, and moments come and go. good luck staying together kiddo. trust me when i say holding a girlfriend while you're in college, and she's back home in high school is hard as fuck!

or instead of worrying so much about video games, you could always try going outside and playing some hockey with friends or something of that nature. i mean, either that or kill yourself because your parents wont let you play on the computer.

+1 to what loka said. i felt the same way you did res but it changed after a while. hope your future plans with your girl work out though.
@chef:just listen and follow what your parents say as much as possible until youre old enough to do your own thing.

cheff, there's an old saying "oil the front door" literally, it means to help out (oiling the hinges on the door) to help you (no longer squeeks when you open it...say late at night  )
do what you must in order to follow what they say, but be a kid. you're 12, not saying you should sneak out for some girl...but you know what i mean

the truth. they've had the experience of dealing with 13 year old fucks so they probably know what they're talking about.
maybe they're just worried that thair child spends all day on the computer and they're worried that he's going nowhere in life.

ya... cause most 13 year olds are already well on there way to a set goal and path in life... right?
I mean the title it self is funny because a helicopter parent is a parent or parents who are always hovering in the kids problems and issues outside of home. They want to negotiate everything in the kids life outside of the home and think they know what the child wants (money, education, friends, activities). Your at the age where your pretty much still at the mercy of your parents. Suck it up.

ya... remember what your dad did 2 your last computer... might be best 2 listen to him.:wtg:
lmao. I remember my dad used to restrict my computer usage. Then when I turned 15 I got my own computer in my room. I was the envy of all kids. Like I said... let your parents be strict. After a certain time they won't care.

another thing i have learned and im sure a few others here have learned also is to just listen to your parents and do what they want without to much bickering and in the long run things will work out in your favor too. i used to be a pain in the ass to my parents (i used to be restricted from playing on the computer and on live. i hated that shit) but after a while i figured out if i do what they say, they seemed to care less after an amount of time and also they trusted me more and were nicer.
i bought my mom this thing from kirklands last year, its hanging in the kitchen. it says "if momma aint happy, aint nobody happy." sad but true.

I don't think it's sad! It IS true, though. People should trust mom-instincts more.
Also, I totally wasn't allowed to watch my older brother play Wolfenstein when I was a kid!

64 bit? Why the hell would you mention Return to Wolfenstein, and why would ren not be able to watch it?
When people say wolfenstein they usually mean the 16 bit versions.
