Spray tracking

I know this has been an issue for a long time, but is there any way to improve our spray tag tracking because it doesn't work worth a damn.

nah just have to be quick, swift, good timing and intense stalking. there was a player, when zero was on the ZM server, spraying a gay porn. his name was FEDDE: Steam_0:1:32236000. i banned him for not listening to me and by zero's approval (dont like to make a mistake in front of Zero lol).

when his ban was over he came back unnoticed. i started to see those sprays agains but wasn't able to track it. so i literaly spectate each player one by one. as soon as i found out that it was FEDDE again, i figured out why i wasn't able to track his sprays before. he would log onto the server, spray and then log off immediatly (F10). and then come back to play a couple of rounds to do it again.

i remember so well when i banned him. he was in the center of the map in Minature Room, sprayed and then banned in a split second before his fat index finger reached F10 LOL. it was one of the greatest ban-feelings when playing CSS

Cal i know its hard to track. we just have to do our best. ask a fellow admin to help you out. or ask me. i like tracking people

I'm sorry but spectating each player until they spray? That is inefficient and a waste of time. We need a better solution.

Yeah I agree, earlier today there was a disgusting spray of a girl with a giant dick and we tried to track it and it said it was cal's LOL

it works perfectly fine for me, i used it when im on spec or after i died. just dont know if it works while youre alive and playing.

the current system only gives feedback if the person who sprayed it is currently in server. thus, when he would spray and leave immediately, even though the spray is still there, the record of who sprayed it is gone.


and alex, seriously. why the fuck are you so goddamn hostile to me?

The plugin that instantly shows the name on the bottom of your screen when you look at a picture would be great.

It's not just that, sometimes it will get the player's name wrong. I was trying to track the owner of that spray Mrs. Xen is talking about and my name came up as the owner.

yeah that happens sometimes. when you use the spray tracker it will shoot out a laser pointing at the spray, if the laser didnt go to the spray where you wanted to get the info of, just reposition yourself away from where the laser is pointing at. thats how i do it.

Which is obviously why he is saying that it needs to be fixed because we can't be sure that we are warning the person with the inappropriate spray.

well Cal and Xeni, i wish we can have it easy on tracking them. like i said. if you need me to help you out you can count on me. I'm starting to find it harder tracking people in escape maps because they spray at the end of the trail and i need to confirm if that spray belongs to the person i'm suspecting. hopefully next round when i spawn i can reach the end of the trail and find the spray and then..... shit!!! the guy logged off or he sprayed it somewhere else LOL. DAMN YOU F10'ners!!! :violin:

Another example of this script being fail is I tried to track a spray and it told me the owner of the spray under it.
