Anybody have one? Is it good?

I have the Palm Pre right now and I hate it so I was thinking of making a switch... oh and before you start discussing how shitty Sprint is I already know. I would get rid of it but we get it free through our business lol

Good luck getting "great" battery life with any newer smartphone...

We can hope and wish I guess though.

HTC battery life atm is a problem with the android OS and not with the phones themselves.

Check out HTC's forums for the fix, or sit tight and wait for 2.2.

All that said, the HTC Evo is basically an upgraded Aria with a few more media bells and whistles. Considering how happy I am with my Aria, I say go for it.

Maybe, but at least I don't have battery issues, or any others for that matter and I run my business on the road w/o any problems (including but not limited to my BB AND laptop)

SOoooooo, Good luck with your other BS that can't make it thru the day as I need dependability.

No, I don't watch many movies or surf a lot of the web with my aria. The screen doesn't bother me in fact I prefer the smaller screen. Again, I want my phone to be a phone (and supercool android apps!), not a handheld media device.

Im thinking I do want the media device stuff like emulating old games and watching a movie on long trips and an mp3 player as I dont have one, I was choosing between the xperia x10 and the aria, but the xperia doesnt support multitouch (wtf!, they emulate it now, but you cant cross axis or it glitches) and the aira had to small a screen.

I have to pay for the data charge and the phone needs to be cheap (both phones are free at bestbuy), so im hoping the x12 might do it, but that doesnt come out till march, and I would love to get a phone now

I dont really care if it has internet though.

I've got the g2 and at the moment it's the fastest benchmarked phone out there. You really should wait until March or February though when the phones with dual core processors come out.

The surround isn't too shabby for serious media stuff, downside is its Win7P. And you guys can't be serious about emulating ps games on your phone :yernuts:

Dual Core phones sound really cool but the battery power required for that would be a tad excessive one would think..

From the reported spec's the Tegra 2 does;nt eat too much more battery life than the current top liners. Real world testing will probably prove otherwise IMO.

Also, I wish Verizon would wait a tiny bit longer to release the Thunderbolt with the dual core 1.5ghz Snapdragon.

Grpahic's wise, I'd love to get my hands on each and test side by side. CS:S on an HTC anyone? :smirk:
