Mostly Desktop.. But I am leaving the country a in a couple of months and I will need to be mobile. SO i was thinking of getting a Alien-ware Laptop to keep in touch while I'm gone for the year.... the only problem i have is that Dell now owns Alien-ware..... which means if anything goes wrong i have to send it back to dell which really fucking sucks.....

IDK....

Well, with the size of an alien-ware notebook, you might as well build a mini computer with uber hardware in it and carry around a portable monitor! xD!

build a new one then :D

A desktop, as of now I dont have a laptop I could use, but will probably get one when I go to collage, but Ill split my budget for a laptop and desktop, as I will need that power for circuit board simulations.

Sigh... there was innovation in them before that... :banghead:

At least their laptops are still above par although over priced.

Love the bang/buck of Asus laptops.

Personally unless you can afford both, the desktop is the way to go and these days college kids are taking them to their dorms.

If you are going to get a laptop then I recently bought an ASUS G73JH

Which is faster than most peoples desktop unless they built a special high end gaming box. I happen to like the ATI vid card here as its the best out there atm but of you prefer nVidia you can get the same unit with a different vid card too...

One more thing, if you have the time to wait, keep checking the recertification units which are the same unit but at about half the price with only a 90 day warranty but you can buy a 3 year for $109.00 which is really one hell of a deal. Just hook up your monitor, keyboard, + mouse to it and you'll never know it's not a desktop!
