Well I'm starting this thread cause I'm purchasing my first handgun in about a week. I am getting the Springfield XDm .45 Cal. 2 Clips, Holster, Shoulder holster, cleaning kit, and laser site.
And as you see from my Signature, I have access to a M4 AR 15. :)
PS, I checked, no other threads pertaining to personal pistols.

Nice, My ex has both a Glock (police issue) and a Sig Sauer, black. Ive shot them both, good guns. Her father has an AK that I was not able to shoot before we broke up. :(

Did you really type out the pronounciation "aut" instead of just typing 30-06? :P
I'll quote myself from some other thread to save effort, because I'm lazy.
I own a Smith & Wesson M&P9c pistol and a Bushmaster AR-15 (yeah, yeah, more expensive than an AK, but I like 'em). I highly recommend the M&P line to anyone in the market for a pistol - very comfortable, easy to shoot. I much prefer them over Glocks.
I'm eying up a Remington 700 with Leupold glass for my next purchase... but that will have to wait for me to actually start making some money again. I wouldn't mind having an AK or a decent shotgun for clays, either, but one thing at a time.
And here's a pic of my M&P9c:

id go with a custom built .50
it will be pricey but totaly worth it if you are a weapon freak
I got a single shot bolt .22 that's older than everyone in my family put together and a S&W 1911 .45 acp and another S&W mp that fires those shorter S&W .40 rounds that cops love.
Both pistols have green tac sights, but the 1911 has an LE clip that I of course "never use" because it would be "illegal" for me to. My dad gave me that one when I turned 21, but I bought the MP myself.. its smaller and doesn't have a reputation for failing as much.

if i only had the money.......that and my reloading press won't load .50's. i can't justify that much money in a gun and then it costs a couple dollars a shot. hell i got corbon rounds for my colt that were over 2 bucks a round. but a custom .308 can still hit at a 1000 yards, think i'll end up getting that.

FN Five-seveN in classic black, Benelli M3 pump action in wood camo, Mossberg 500 in wood camo, Remington 310 D-Barrel in original wood. (I shoot clays) A couple of BB Guns around the house (the cousins seem to enjoy them), Pellet Rifle (pesky squirrels and deer. NO Mastagunz, I shoot them in the ass with it), and 2 compound bows.
Although since I'm back at college, I am not allowed to have any of these guns/bows with me. Yet they seem to allow swords :wtf:

Savage 10 Precision Carbine?
I mounted mine with a SWFA Super Sniper 10x42. Works very nice throwing 180-grain soft-points.
I also have:
Bushmaster XM-15 w/ a Bushnell 1x32 Red Dot
Pre-ban Colt AR
Springfield Armory XD Service .40
Starfish :3

Savage 10 Precision Carbine?
10 FCP-K is the one i like. with my savage .223 i have been shooting woodchucks at 400 yrds. anything past that my ballistic tips start dropping to much. thats why i want that .308. how does your carbine do at long shots?

Since she's damn near new, I can't really say. Probably the furthest I've pushed out was 200 yards with either box loads from Remington/Federal/Winchester and 40 rounds of 147-grain hand loads. Still kind of breakin' the barrel in, but at that range we were basically chasing a bowling pin up the back drop (which wasn't a small berm, was an actual hill).

I think I will post a pic of my fav gun I own, 1911 Springfield Custom, shoots 9mm. About everything on this gun has been upgraded. Yes I know it's a 9mm, but thats what makes it so great, this gun has no recoil, or so it seems.

Looking to buy an AR to go along with my shotgun, anyone have any suggestions?
I've got an Academy Sports close to where I live, that's about the only place I can get one.
