I know i know, another sopa thread.. i figured though, that all of us love the internet and its freedom that you would want information regarding stopping sopa or at least voicing out about it, so here i provide a small article and a not so extravagant petition. If any of you are a decent writer and would like to start another petition that is alot more intelligent and convincing for obama, get with me. Other wise i urge you to sign this one ----->https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions#!/petition/veto-sopa-bill-and-any-other-future-bills-threaten-diminish-free-flow-information/g3W1BscR

here is the article http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2011/12/20/official-veto-sopa-petition-gets-25000-signature-in-two-days/

The petition was a success, it reached obamas desk and he issued a formal response along the lines of "i will veto it." here is an article about obamas stance on SOPA http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2012/01/obama-administration-joins-the-ranks-of-sopa-skeptics.ars

I do not think this should slow down our efforts in preventing this bill from passing though, as Obama is very fond of saying one thing and doing another. Signing the petition or even creating a new one will always help. I also encourage all of you to let people know what sopa is and why they should oppose it. there are alot of people out there who know nothing about it.
