yes i do brett

plug them into your mic port, turn your outbound all the way up, and yell REALLY FUCKING LOUD into them. it could work if they're crappy enough.

or maybe you'll just look like an idiot but hey i'm trying.

well the construction of earbuds and microphones are essentially the same. membrane -> vibration -> converted into electronic signal -> sent down wire to input, or from output going to other way. earbuds are less efficient because their design is more suited to playing sound rather than receiving it, but yeah it works.

sounds like goin to college in texas is paying off ;)

actually i learned this in 10th grade when i accidentally plugged my friend's ipod speakers into his mic jack and his speakers were screwing up and gave audio feedback whenever sound was given through a microphone input. i could hear our conversation...it was the perfect bug.

Ravok, unfortunately for you, ibis is not affiliated with unisef. Seriously though.... Work for what you want. Approach your parents and tell them you need a new head set and would like to know if there is any work you could do to earn it. You are achieving two things by doing this. 1. A new headset. 2. you are learning a valuable lesson about work ethic and achieving goals.

If they refuse, then that sucks.

Here's an idea... get a job, mow lawns, shovel snow, pet sit (Don't baby sit, children are the devil), or sell something you don't need. If you're smart enough to come on here, and request a new headset you're smart enough to do anything I listed.

But coming on here and asking makes you seem like a poor, lazy person. I hate poor, lazy people, and so do most westerners. So it's no big surprise you're not well received.
