Though i kinda worry I really like day z because its completely unforgivable, that's what makes it such a thrill rush if your not afraid to loose shit if you die?

day z is cool cause it hasn't been done before but it's a mod for a war simulator.

this is a game that's built from the ground up just based on surviving zombies... with the cading, the no monthly fee, it not being pay 2 win, and city's/safe zones that can be used for trading, meeting people etc... well it sounds like day z but 1000 times better.

sounds like they got everything that day Z missed. granted day z is just a mod, not a game built from the ground up yet, so it makes sense that they obviously have limitations and things that are out of their control. but I'm VERY excited for this game, I think it's gonna blow day z out of the water.

Oh well... A part of my excitement died, but I'm still registering for the beta to see if this could still be worthwhile... And it seems it does have potential for that.

This looks pretty awesome, the only thing that may be a problem is that it gives people the chance to be assholes, and give them the chance, they'll do it to the nth degree.

Killing other players is part of the fun. Like in DayZ, I can see a lot of "communities" of players within the game, vying for land, supplies, equipment, etc...

If the players communicate, it could even turn into something like the Walking Dead comic, where you have random groups of people living together in a safe haven of sorts, trading supplies or what-have-you with another group of players at a different location... combining forces to take out an evil group of bandits who want to control the trade market with intimidation and manpower.

Ugh... gives me a chubby just thinking about it.

BUT it's all speculation...

Still... that would be awesome.

it adds just such a high level of tension and realism... Love it.

Day Z is not a mod...Its a full game in alpha running on the arma II engion. Thats like calling CoD a mod of quake III, or Mass effect a mod of gears of war.
