F.Y.I., In the near future, a big corporation like that, don't retaliate against the corporation. Show dedication and hard work. This way, your GM or their corporate officer will see, and offer you high position (without the education that other people graduate for). You will either end up as manager, branch manager, officer of purchases, etc. Business is business, but it's the consistency and dedication corp look for. You may work at McDonalds now, but who knows, you may soon work for corporate at McDonalds and make shit load of money.

Work hard man, and always strive for the best. You won't know where you end up till it's the end.

This used to happen to me quite often when I worked at Blockbuster Video back in the day (every high schooler should've worked there - some of the best times ever!). As I recall, I didn't get any back pay for time spent sitting around, so feel fortunate. :P

Oh man, I desperately miss the almost complete lack of responsibility but I positively do not miss the pay. I think at the height of my Blockbuster career I was one step below Store Manager and making a whopping... wait for it... $11.15 an hour. And I was responsible for opening that bitch up and depositing the previous day's earnings at the bank so it's not as if I was just another lackey. I had keys and everything! (lawl)

$11.15 barely buys a fucking Value Meal at Taco Bell anymore. It's hard to believe people work for those wages as their career and survive. Gomer, I hope McDonald's is just a stepping stone for you too as I mean no offense at all (and that includes anyone who currently makes $11.15 or so an hour).

Honestly, you guys waited WAY longer than i ever would have. I would have waited half an hour tops, attempted to make the appropiate phone calls, and go home if no answer. They will realize eventually that the store is not open and attempt to contact those responsible. The manager should be fired. What a piss poor excuse for a manager to be that late. If he isnt laying in a ditch somewhere, he better be fired.

Then again, it is mcdonalds we are talking about. My advice would be to get another job. Out of all of the minimum wage jobs around, why on earth would someone pick mcdonalds? I know the economy is bad and recession and yadda yadda..but go work at fucking lowes or something and not a grease pit.

Well when I first started out looking for a job. They were the first to hire. I didn't plan on staying there. I just got really good at my job. And ended staying for 2 years. Now I hate that damn place and am ready to get the fuck out. lol
Now I'm doing everything necessary to get into the airforce.

Airforce? if you are not going active duty.. it wont do you much good apart from helping you further your education...

besides.. in your OP situation, after you had watied for 30 min and made a few phone calls and left a few voice mails, id of went home. you did everything you could in your minimum wage position and should not nor would be punished for doing what you could.
