    I'm sure most of you already know this but I thought I'd share for those of you who aren't aware.

    If you aren't currently under a contract or getting a special discounted rate with your ISP/cable TV provider, call them and tell them your bill is too high and you want it lowered. I was paying full price for our TV/Internet services for about five months, an absurd price I don't even want to mention, so I called today and they're now discounting my bill by just over 30% each month. Apparently the competition in this space is hot and getting hotter and they really want to retain customers these days.

    Worst case scenario is you get a 'no discounts are available' from the rep - at which point I recommend switching providers, even though it's a massive hassle. I recommend calling for the discount at the least though if you think you're paying too much.

    Better...also you're a douchebag. I work for Time Warner and we have people calling in everyday asking the same fucking thing and we can't do anything for them. So then you guys yell at us...we still can't do anything and then get bitched at for "allowing" a customer to leave and it dings us on our Q/A's. Bottom line if you sign up for a promotion ....say 29.99 for 6 months and then it goes to reg price and you bitch about it? You're retarded and please stop fucking with other peoples incomes and jobs...economy is hard enough as it is.

    As for you being unable to give your customers discounts - how is that my problem? Or my responsibility? I'm sorry your company sucks and wants to fuck its customers right up the ass. It's what will eventually drive your company out of business. That's business, and blaming the consumer for being savvy while your company is shitty is, again, douchey and quite frankly, ridiculous.

    You're right, I was getting a promotional rate that expired. However, if I can call my provider and get a discount of 30% or go to their/your competitor to get a discount of 50%, that's my prerogative and I'm sure as shit going to do it. Again, that's business baby, and if your job at TWC sucks so bad because of 'douchebags' like me, who want to maximize their monthly income by paring bills down where they can, well, find another fucking job?

    why should you get special treatment? seriously. there is a listed price that you sign up for. either accept and pay it, or go fuck yourself. it's not his company "fucking its customers right up the ass". it's his company not wanting to give discounts when they are not earned. it's not a customer being savvy, it's a customer being a whiney bitch and bringing hardship onto people trying to do their job.
