    oh fuck, i copied the wrong link.

    tl;dr is that this seems to be an error introduced with the new patch. you can try removing/renaming your Clientregistry.blob file. that will force steam to dl/generate a new version if it, hopefully fixing this issue.

    lots of people are running into this after the update around the 16th
