Runescape
I hit Brett right in the feels.
wtf?
who the fuck told you there's no world PvP?
one of the "major draws" of the game is what's called "dub dub". It's WvWvW PvP, on a grand scale. it's one of the cornerstones of the game, and a huge selling point. I absolutely hate it, but that's mostly because i've never seen anything other than zergs of op chars running around.

Its free, simple, rather addicting tbo, and it beta stage so best is yet to come. I've dabbled with this game since I was 14, but back then it was called Battlefield. Anyways 2d tank game with awards and tournaments. teams n such. Its LOL fun. great community. Passes the time. If you wanna learn to play like a legit player, ill show you the ropes.
Guild wars 2 fighting is not redundant, it is not stationary, and requires actual skill and strategy to master. There are no solid roles in the game like tank healer dps, everyone plays using there abilities. Remeber though, you can only slot few abilities which forces players to actually sit down and think about there builds. Combat is fast paced and never dull or the same. Because the combat is so unique and new you will never experience the same things again.
Personal reform
Intuition and a quick google seem to call bullshit on this.

2nd link googled only to the wiki.
To further my point the wiki even states that while all classes can potentially fit each role, a person will still need to play that role. So basically, all classes, like in WoW, are similar to a druid or paladin in that they can potentially play the role of a tank, dps, or healer.
Now, if classes can fluidly switch between each role without needing a gear change would be a more proper question.

Tastes like your moms kisses.
hardly... it's not a hard mmo by any means. you want a hard one, go play vanilla wow, finalfantasy 11 or EQ.... I don't get why people claim GW2 is so skill based... does using a dodge button really grant that much skill lol? it's a mmo with what.... 8 buttons ? All Ive seen in GW2 is a UBER casual MMORPG that damn near anyone can easily get into... I don't see any skill required for it and all this about combat never being the same or repetitive? and you never doing the same things twice? well.... I don't think you've played it much.... cause that's far from true.
and no I'm not saying it's a bad MMORPG... it's quite entertaining... and given it's a 60 dollar game with no monthly fee... I think that in it's self is awesome and it's probably one of the best 60 dollar games ever in terms of bang for your buck... shit when I'm done typing this, I'm gonna jump on and play ^^ But it's not a hard MMORPG by any means.
-Dragons nest is not an mmo for the same reason GW1 wasn't... as soon as you left town... there is no people unless you're in a party... that goes against the very purpose of a MMORPG which is having a massive constantly evolving world with people running around all over doing shit.
-Runescape is great.... if you're 10-15 years old.
-SWTOR is good for the main storyline, sucks for PVP
it's hard 2 recommend a MMORPG for you without knowing what you're looking for in one... that and the majority of MMORPG's that have come out in the last long long long long time have sucked ass and fallen flat on their face.
