Think about it. Since the door can only be opened from within, closing the door effectively reduces the number of the room's entrances to one: the vent. To be concise, I won't delineate on the specific vent rules. Everyone here knows them. The only situation when closing that door is illegal is if the vent is barricaded.


Just because there's a special door around doesn't change the fact that this vent is
1) A viable entrance for zombies.
2) Unbarricaded.
Thus, on castle redemption, Rofl is in the green and Omega the red.

true, but if top zombies, and they have to do a zombie train, or atleast 2-3 deformed zombies, it's easy to get through no?
I'm not fighting anyone against these rules or anything. if i am wrong on this, i learn from this. and again, this is just primarily my opinion.

bane, if it was you, me anex, and 1 more top players we could get 5-6 players in the vents with the door closed no? It just takes teamwork, and knowing what you are doing.

My goal was to simply caution others against treating this case specially because of some fancy door. I too, am trying to get this case along faster. So rather than "technically not illegal" it is "not illegal"

can't speak on the first ruling, i don't do enough zm. however, i can say for the 2nd, in the room that roflol caded there were only 2 entrances. both entrances were crouch spots. from the rules directly:

now...i'll ignore any map-specific rules that may exist as i don't have enough knowledge on them either, and i can say this: if there's no rule against it, an admin saying it doesn't make it one.

the rule states that barricading all entrances to a crouched spot is illegal. personally, i take this to mean that the barricade by roflol was illegal. i think the rule mainly outlines vents, which are definitely "crouched" spots, but i also think it applies here even though the occupants don't have to be crouched once inside. the point is, i believe, that you can't barricade both entrances to any area that can only be entered by crouching. what i just said might sound really dumb and obvious but i'm trying to be very specific about this. in this case, roflol was in the wrong it seems.

if others agree on that, then ban length becomes an issue. roflol was permabanned. i also remember watching him a while back and seeing him block people intentionally. i'm obviously not the one who makes a call in this case, but i wanted to present that info.

Only two people are allowed per vent opening. In castle_redemption I interpret this to mean if the door is closed then a max of two people are allowed in the vent. Closing the door effectively reduces the number of vent openings to one. If my interpretation is correct then one of those three people in the vent needed to fall back into the room or otherwise GTFO. Either way, I don't see where Rofl was at fault.

Hmm, I didn't think about that. Particularly because I thought that rule was defunct from the start and was treated as such. But yes, Rofl shouldn't be at fault.

If you could direct me to a demo. Personally, I would disagree with an excessive ban because spotless behavior (with the exception of exploitative behavior) wasn't part of his unban conditions. Heavier than others due to history and experience, but even then... is this something to slam a hammer on? I would say yes if it had blatantly persisted. Otherwise, slaying and kicking sounds good

i'd post a demo but you wouldn't be able to watch it. not sure if i could find it anyway.

point is, he sure as hell knows the rules. shouldnt need warnings. and he was previously unbanned by zero, so only zero really knows if it was a "last chance" sort of thing or not/.

So in the sum of the castle map i tell everyone more then 2-5 times if you block the vent and more then 2 people are in the vent/tube you must have the door open inorder for more then 2 people to be in the vent/tube this is a rule on any map, i asked them more then 3 times on that map to respect this rule I also gave them time to go ahead and open the door and they did not (one of the people even walked up to the door looked and ran back to the vent, Anex and Zero both implamented the 2 per vent/tube per side that is open to keep people from overclustering tubes or vents on any map. With the door being closed even tho the vent has 2 sides zombies can only get to one side there for the door must be open to fallow the rule listed above.


Rofl was slayed just yesterday for cading crouch more then one time this is also not his first time being banned when asked to do something as In the demo u can see i told them with typing and out loud (Do not cade both crouchs in that room) this guy has been breaking the rules almost every time he is on our server when no one is on, I have had more then 2 complants about him !zteleing cade breaking so on, this time I got him.

First what warning was I given on either maps? Second on castle_redemption I was slayed for no reason did you forget that? Third my first cade on dessert fortress was perfectly legal until someone broke my cade resulting in me having to make a new cade which now I know is illegal, but you did not notice cade breaking did you?
