its not an investigative ability. Taz and myself are *cringe* best friends or some useful thing like that.

Being that there is nothing to go on for a day 1 vote, me and taz can at least clear two names from a possible lynch, minimizing the risk of lynching a townie.

Do wonder how much information taz got, if any. Also, if they are star-crossed lovers or something similar, one of them could still be innocent.

Even so, there's probably no reason to lynch either of them, as long as taz backs Mikey's story. If taz DOESN'T, then we have some odd problems. Only reason would be to give us a clear, but we don't have enough townies to do that, IMO.
