I really could not care less if people white knight. Infact I would be just fine if people treated everyone else with more respect. I know for myself, I "white knight" a little because how how toxic the gaming community is as a whole (not ibis, but it is at times) towards everyone, especially those who supposedly should spend every waking moment in a kitchen making sandwiches. (I get sick of those jokes)
