Well, although I doubt this will be listen too, I still care for ibis so I want to give some advice of what I think needs to be changed, whatever you want to do with it is entirely up to the guys who runs this etc

1. IBIS zm is a little bit of everything, which is bad. The server has to decide what kind of zombie mod it want to be, people want to play on a specific server PL fot a mod build around no reload and i3D is build around ZE. We need to pick a way what we want to be, everything is too simple and it doesn't work anymore, allot of ZE maps do not work here.

2. Simplify the maps, pick strong good maps and ditch the easy ones, make a strong selection, the bigger the choice the more chances you have that people leave, if you stick to a good circle people know what there up too.

3. Remove difficult long ze maps, instead organize events in weekends, we got a big sleeping community (ibis regular) make them active, people will come and check and maybe some of those people will stick around, anyway it is still better then to do nothing.

4. Add donator, people can pay for a reserve slot, but instead of that add donator with a reserve slot build in, keep it cheap like 4 dollar and add some stuff, lot of people don't wanna have the burden of being admin, but they do want special stuff something to spice up there game experience. 4 dollar isn't much but it is a small step for people, and you keep your people to your server

5. Ranking, remove or reset everything, add a new system like PL or just reset it, start fresh and remodel it so that it works with the new ibis zm you want to roll out. all people talk about is the fucking ranking, make it less imported, remove stuff like show rank ingame show k/d ingame, to stop eepening.

6. Clan needs to be more visible, No one knows who ibis is on the ibis servers, wow great advertisement. Because of how ibis recruit there people, you got the problem now that ibis has lost it's touch with it's own player base, and those who do care are heard. How is it fucking possible that people who are merely ghosts from the past can decide over the now day ibis. ibis needs fresh meat, fresh ideas if you want to keep ibis alive there needs to be changes, innovation. people who are not active cannot play an active rol on this. So either take your lazy butt off the couch and become active again, or decide to give the stick to you newer lads. Also Zero is a great guy, but it seems the whole system falls when he is gone. no company can survive with just 1 man. and ibis is a company, you want to service people a experience in gaming, then become professional and make a team. more servers can do this so why can't ibis.

7. The community needs to have a change too, when i read these forums it looks like last man standing, people mouthing each other off, trying to be bigger then there actually are, people are tired of this, they wanna be taken serious not be pissed on. Also racism is also a problem which seems to stick around on ibis. There no real strong rules and people walk away from this and the servers, who want to be in a place where it is filled with hatred (or so it seems) it also brings an uneasy atmosphere ingame. time has changed and ibis is still living like it is 2008.

I like ibis, and i have been a jerk in the past, but all for one cause, to wake this community up. Allot of people now see that the community decreasing and in the end we don't want that. Make choices because with all we got now it will not work. Pub is death, accept it. WCS well I don't play it maybe use the potential for the new ZM server you wanna build, more slots etc or whatever you guys wanna do with it. Just realize that the path were on now is a dead end.

Some of your suggestions are solid. There are too many maps on the server and too many of them are shit. Just going through the nomination list is hard because it's not even organized alphabetically. The tryhard maps don't work and nobody knows how to play them anyway.

Rank: doesn't matter to 99% of the players on the server. You can remove it, change it, or leave it the way it is and it won't matter to more than a few dozen people. Low priority.

Special donator class: could be a good idea but leave out the stupid shit that makes GFL and PF so obnoxious like bright, ugly chat colors, custom user titles and skins, and pay-to-win garbage like being able to jump higher. Just a simple reserved slot and some other reasonable perks should be enough.

Community: many people are backbiting assholes here. True enough. We should all aspire to be more like Meltdown, who treats everyone with respect and never talks shit.

I agree with this however it would have been better to do it from the start. It's whatever Zero wants to stick with. We kind of build ourselves up around ZM/ZE and it's what we are known for.

Agreed. I'll be going through this wednesday night and all day thursday.

Something that I have noticed on other servers are those maps are banned on weekdays and can only be nominated on the weekend or by admins. This is something we will most likely implement.

This something I have been pondering about. I know I want this system on ZM. A combination of 1 or 2 human and zombie skins. I've been thinking also about WCS and maybe have a double exp feature for new people. It would be a nice way of saying, "Hey, thanks for donating! Here are some perks!"

A new ranking system is currently being developed with a complete rank wipe in mind. Not only will this bring a kind of fresh start back to the server but will also encourage winning on escape maps. An example would be if you won Predator as a human you would get bonus points. Incentives for gaining rank by tagging people is also being kept in mind as it would diminish the whole idea. We're working on and we'll let know soon with what we come up with.

Zero is one man and can only do so much, you are right. Some of the clan are getting together, including myself, and will be making plugins and trying to help overall to lift that burden. With that in mind, plugins from alliedmodders will also be added soon to hopefully give zm a little bit of a fresher feel.

Comments I have already read from the survey have already been helpful to kind of give a direction. Many have expressed what you are feeling. Please wait a little bit longer until the results are collected and discussed among the members. If you know an admin that hasn't taken it, please encourage them to do so. I spent some time in the WCS server the other day. People there said it does see traffic but certain people and races empty the server. I know I've certainly left because of it. I've been trying to make my way around the servers to see if any of them has issues.

Events are the best for for the server to learn maps. We simply can't get everyone to learn them when we play them for two seconds, fail, and rtv. Try hard map do work because we we're able to beat Predator for the first time. We completed Shroom forest with a full server for the first time also. What we'll do is reserve those maps for the weekend though so they don't pop up on the normal rotation during the week days.

It's in the works of getting changed and stats will be wiped.

If we do add chat colors, they will not be all crazy like GFL. I'm working on a plugin that will identify Clan, ULA, Admin, and Donator in chat like GFL does with colors to signify. Pay-to-win might still be on table however it would not give donators a huge advantage over everyone else. If this was implemented, donators would not be OP. Anyways, it was just an idea tossed around.

Well weed never truly will be gone, but it is clear that I need a time off. When I talked with steamer I realized it is easy to talk crap about stuff, so I decided to help out, or at least in some way. Because when you want to criticize you also need to come up with solutions, otherwise the whole point of criticizing is pointless.
