In addition, if Zambi is mafia, then who he did or did not block does not help us determine who the mafia was. ie if he is mafia, blocked a random town guy, then the attacker could have been himself or anyone else.

zambi could have been the goon for all i care. that's not the point.

HOWEVER, the FLAVOUR itself mentioned that a jew boy sat there and did jack shit the night before... whether it was because he was blocked or afk, or no active ability, that's besides the point.

and i would personally rather kill off one of the 2 nemesis or sin.

if we lynch a mafia, then an x-shot protection can protect the other guy from a mafia targetted attack on a cop,
if the lynch was a bust, then that means the other is the mafia, and he will either die to a vig shot, or lynched the next day.
