My point is if the "admin's" name doesn't show up then that person obviously is not an admin and their steam id is the right one to ban.

It is also noted that by typing ma_admins, they do not provide the steam IDs. But, everyone should be given a hard copy of the list so that way we have all the admin names and their steam ID. I agree we should provide our email addresses (at least I'm giving away my junk mail one which I used to register the forums) just as an authentication or proof of identity.
I do take identity theft quite seriously and I would like a systematic fool-proof way, like how inthebutt is taking the time and effort to provide, so we won't have to be in more potentially worse situations for us when it actually occurs.
Just my two cents on the situation about it.

Look if the guy comes in and yiou can;t get the damn fuck just ban the 2 names. One of them will come onto the forums and ask why he got banned.
If he takes my name, im doing ma_ban hitman 99999 and then getting jigsaw/zero/ or another admin to unban the real me. That was CASE CLOSED BIATCHES

If they were impersonating you (an admin) then couldnt you just change your name and ban him before he gets a chance to copy you?
Fear is a Liar.
I understand the reason for making a list of the current admins and Steam IDs of them, but it would be a constantly changing list. Any problem with hackers mic spamming and copying admin names can be fixed via ma_admins and status.
Plus, it would be easier just to do ma_ban <Steam_ID> 0, for a permanent ban, wouldn't it?
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.
