Then the same could be said about lamborghini and bugatti since audi, vw, lamborghini and bugatti are all owned by the same parent company.

Also I wouldnt say there overpriced VW's I'd say there the vw equavalent of what shelby is to ford.

The reason why the ur is so significant is because when the quattro was made audi was a separate company only know for making econboxes like this that my mother owned back in the day:



so the quattro was pretty much there first kick ass car and I've got a thing for cars with big tires, flared wheel arches and early viper esq rims

Hell even if the stratos may not exactly be the best car in the world the looks certainly make it worth it, must have been pretty god damn difficult to rally it though.

haha no it was sitting in the back of a garage for 10 years. i picked it up for 250 bucks. by the time i was done with it, i blew the turbo (case split in two) the head was warped beyond repair and belief, and the IRS CV boots were going out.

Did you modify it and push it beyond its limits or did something like the oil or cooling system fail?

nope all stock. boost was 15psi. it had a small oil leak but i ran it hard. i beat the crap out of it.
