Also go to DIVX.com and DL their latest drivers and player but keep your WMP as default if you want, but DIVX will give you the needed plugins for a lot of things u want to play and if u can't open your "PORN" with WMP then the DIVX player will do it for you :P

nah WMP wont play DVD if you have a tv output going (i have HDMI out to a LCD HD tv, for example all i had to do was change my resolution that fixed the problem

Aha, u didn't say that u were outputting to a TV initially. Changing the res makes sense as there's only certain aspect ratios and res that is compatible.
